K9 SWEEP SCHOOLS:At the request of Miami East Schools, Deputy Roberts walked K9 Bear through the High School and the parking lot for a drug sweep. K9 Bear did not alert to anything and no drugs were found. The same day, Deputy Roberts walked K9 Bear through West Milton High School and Middle School for a drug sweep at the request of SRO Deputy Karn. K9 Bear did not alert to any of the lockers and no drugs were found.
BRADFORD PARK FIRE: It was discovered by Bradford Village workers that someone had started a fire in the men’s bathroom at the shelter house in the Y Yard park. The suspect(s) caught paper on fire that was inside the plastic trash can near the sink. The trash can burnt approximately half of the way and extinguished itself. There was not extensive damaged done as a result of this incident. Pictures of the scene were taken by officials.
BURGLARY: Deputies responded to the 4000 block of Troy-Urbana Road, Casstown, in reference to a burglary complaint. Upon arrival, the reporting party advised they were missing a computer, tablet, and a safe containing important documents and credit cards. Two credit cards had been used. They were also missing various gift cards.
WARRANTS SERVED: A deputy observed a blue Jaguar XJ8 traveling east on Park Avenue in Piqua.
The deputy ran the plate and the return revealed the registered owner, Kyle Ouellette, possessed a suspended drivers license and was wanted in Miami County and Champaign on failure to appear warrants.The deputy then activated overhead lights to initiate the stop.
The deputy approached the vehicle on the driver side and made contact with the male driver. The deputy identified himself and asked him what his name was. The driver responded by saying ” Kyle Oullette.” The deputy then advised him that he was operating his vehicle on a suspended driver’s license and further advised him that he had two outstanding warrants for his arrest.
Once the warrant out of Miami County was confirmed, Kyle was taken into custody and placed in to the rear of the patrol car. His vehicle was locked and secured and left at the scene. He was transported to the incarceration facility (IF), where his custody was handed over to corrections officers. He was cited for driving under suspension and warrants served.
OVI: A deputy made a traffic stop on the listed vehicle in the area of
4846 St. Rt. 55, West Milton. After further investigation the registered owner Stephen Gillum was arrested for OVI, Speed, Marked Lanes, Seatbelt, and Open Container.
OVERDOSE: Deputies were dispatched to the 3000 block of State Route 41, Troy, for an assist squad call. The nature of the call was a male individual with a possible overdose.
Male was identified as Kyle Plymesser. Kyle was transported to Upper Valley Medical Center. Kyle was charged with Drug Paraphernalia and Drug Abuse.
CRIMINAL DAMAGING: A Pleasant Hill woman reported the window of her vehicle was damaged. She was driving her vehicle east on Brown Road in the area of Stillwell Road. Another vehicle passed her on Brown Rd heading west. As the other vehicle passed her, her driver’s side window shattered blowing the window into the interior of the car and showering her with glass. The reporting party believes someone in the other vehicle threw something out the car and struck her window. The deputy checked the area of Brown Road and could not locate anything laying in the roadway which could have caused the damage. The deputy also checked the interior of the reporting party’s vehicle and nothing was located inside that could have caused the damage.
FAILURE TO CONTROL: Deputies were dispatched to a single car motor vehicle crash at 601 Barnhart Road.
Officers located a blue Chevrolet truck stopped in the front yard of the address with a male asleep and his legs hanging out of the driver side window. Deputy Bubeck secured the vehicle which was still running and in drive. Officers woke the male up and he was subsequently arrested for failure to control and OVI.
