TROY — Troy Police Department are looking for more information regarding a man who is selling fake raffle tickets and stating the funds are to benefit local soccer organizations.
The man is a bald-headed, white male, approximately 5’4” in stature and heavy-set. He was last seen wearing a royal blue polo shirt and khaki pants. He has been captured on surveillance camera soliciting patrons at local restaurants and other establishments. The man states that he is selling the raffle tickets on behalf of S.A.Y. soccer leagues or for the Mid-Ohio Select Soccer Leagues in the area.
Troy Police Department have contacted the local soccer organizations and they confirmed they are not doing a raffle ticket fundraiser and have no affiliation with this individual.
The man has been spotted selling fake raffle tickets at The Vault Tavern on County Road 25-A, Buffalo Wild Wings in Troy and possibly sold raffle tickets at Troy Bowl bowling alley earlier this year.
He sells the tickets for $5 a piece or five tickets for $20. The prizes listed on the tickets include winning a Harley Davidson motorcycle or a $13,000 cash option for first prize, a 55-inch Samsung TV for second prize and a $700 VISA gift card for a third prize.
If you can identify this man or have more information, contact Patrolman Jeff Hubbard at (937) 339-7525, Ext. 408, or email him at email@example.com.
