PIQUA —The following are highlights from the Piqua police reports. All information is provided by Piqua police reports.
FRAUD: A complainant reported sending $411 through Western Union for what she thought was the shipping charge for a new vehicle she had won on Sept. 19.
DISORDERLY CONDUCT: A citizen was reportedly yelling on the sidewalks on the 900 block of Park Avenue on Sept. 19 at 1:40 p.m. An adult male was warned for disorderly conduct.
There was a report of two males outside yelling and acting disorderly on the 800 block of Park Avenue on Sept. 20 at 2:16 a.m. The males stated they were going inside for the evening.
CRIMINAL DAMAGE: A garage door was spray-painted overnight between Sept. 18-19 on the 1700 block of Edge Street.
A vehicle was spray-painted overnight between Sept. 18-19 on the 1000 block of W. North Street.
DISTURBANCE: There was a report of a domestic dispute on the 900 block of Camp Street on Sept. 19 at 5:32 p.m. It was reportedly an adult brother and sister arguing over money.
There was a report of a verbal disturbance occurring outside of Lucky’s bar, located on the 100 block of N. Main Street, on Sept. 19 at 10:47 p.m. A female stated that her ex-boyfriend had followed her to her vehicle and was harassing her. There was no violence or threats reported. The male left the area before officer arrival.
There was a report of a disturbance between a male and female on the 800 block of Park Avenue on Sept. 19 at 11:26 p.m. Both parties left prior to officer arrival. Female was located and stated it was only a verbal argument.
There was a report of a disturbance between a male and female on the 600 block of Miami Street on Sept. 20 at 12:28 a.m. The primary aggressor was not determined.
There was a report of a domestic dispute occurring at the Budgetel Inn and Suites on Sept. 20 at 3:23 a.m. A female stated that she had gone down to the lobby and her boyfriend “came down to the lobby and grabbed her wrist and tried to get her to go back upstairs to their room,” according to police reports. There were no injuries. Both parties refused to leave the hotel room.
A female reportedly threw rocks at another female’s house door to get her to come outside on the 300 block of S. Roosevelt Avenue on Sept. 20 at 4:53 p.m. The suspect was warned for trespassing.
A 10 year old male reported another juvenile had threatened to cut him with a knife on the 200 block of E. Main Street on Sept. 20 at 6 p.m.
The Budgetel Inn and Suites contacted police on behalf of a residence who did not want his wife at the hotel on Sept. 20 at 9 p.m. The female was located and trespassed from the property.
There was a report of domestic violence occurring on the 400 block of N. Main Street on Sept. 20 at 9:40 p.m. A female was transported to UVMC. Xavier P. Murphy, 21, of Piqua was charged with first-degree misdemeanor domestic violence in connection with this incident.
SEX OFFENSE: There was a report of a possible sex offense occurring at the Piqua Manor Nursing Home, located on the 1800 block of W. High Street, on Sept. 19.
THEFT: Elder Beerman had a female in custody for shoplifting on Sept. 19 at 6:56 p.m.
A green and black DK Elite racing bike was reported stolen from Lock 9 Park, located at 125 E. Water St., on Sept. 19 at 7:30 p.m.
Two vehicles were broken into overnight between Sept. 19-20 on the 1600 block of Dover Avenue. Personal property was stolen.
An Echo Leaf blower and a Stihl weed-eater were reported stolen from a locked garage on the 700 block of Park Avenue between 6 p.m. on Sept. 13 and 4:30 on Sept. 20.
A wallet was reported stolen from the complainant’s work station at Nitto Denko on Sept. 21 at 1:17 a.m.
FOUND PROPERTY: A Roadmaster bicycle was found on the 1000 block of Covington Avenue on Sept. 19. It was taken into police property.
TRESPASSING: A male was reportedly refusing to leave from behind a residence on the 900 block of Briarcliff Avenue on Sept. 20 at 1:13 a.m. The complainant stated that the male was intoxicated and attempting to get into the residence. Aaron D. Jacomet, 41, of Piqua was cited for minor misdemeanor disorderly conduct in connection with this incident.
ASSAULT: There was report of an assault occurring on the 600 block of W. Ash Street on Sept. 20 at 1:51 a.m. The investigation is pending.
SUSPICIOUS: There was a report of two white males attempting to gain access to vehicles parked on the 1600 block of Dover Avenue on Sept. 20 at 2:51 a.m. The area was checked, and the subjects were not located.
