Covington Community Thanksgiving dinner and worship service

COVINGTON — The public is invited to the annual Covington Community Thanksgiving Dinner and Worship Service, sponsored by the Covington Ministerial Association and area churches. The free meal will be served Wednesday, Nov. 22 from 5-6:30 p.m. The Community Thanksgiving Worship Service will begin at 7 p.m. Both the dinner and service will be held at the Covington Christian Church at 115 N. Pearl St.

Tipp City UMC to host bazaar

TIPP CITY — Tipp City United Methodist Church will host its second-annual Christmas Bazaar to benefitAngel House Children’s Home and Secondary School in Tanzania, Africa, on Dec. 2.

Talented artisans will offer a wide variety of handcrafted gift items. Joe’s Diner will provide an a la cartemenu of soups and sandwiches and Oakstone Oven Co. will sell wood-fired pizza by the slice.

The Christmas Bazaar will take place from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., Dec. 2, at Tipp City United Methodist Church, 8W. Main Street, in conjunction with the church’s annual Cookie Walk. Cookies are sold by the pound from 9-11 a.m.

Christmas cookie sale set

TROY — Are you way too busy this time of the year? We can help! Let us do your baking! Colorful home-made holiday cookies and candy will be sold by the pound at the Christmas Cookie Shoppe, Saturday, Dec.2, from 9 a.m. to noon at the First Place Christian Center, 16 W. Franklin. Sounds of the Holidays

PIQUA — Sounds of the Holidays, an annual concert by the Piqua Civic Band, will be at 3 p.m. Dec. 3 at Westminster Presbyterian Church, 325 W. Ash St., Piqua. Brett Poling will conduct, and the concert will also feature Alicia Norris, vocalist.

Christmas musical planned

VANDALIA — The Vandalia Baptist Temple Choir will present “Shepherds and Kings,” a family-friendlyChristmas musical at 11 a.m. on Sunday, Dec. 17. The show will be held in the auditorium of the VandaliaBaptist Temple, 724 Helke Road, Vandalia. All are welcome.
