PIQUA — The following are highlights from the Piqua police reports. All information is provided by Piqua police reports.
ACCIDENT: There was a report of a traffic crash in the area of North Wayne and West Water streets on Oct. 27 at 7:15 p.m. The at-fault driver advised she did not brake at the red light and crashed into another vehicle. The other driver complained of chest pain and was transported to the hospital. The at-fault driver was cited for running a red light.
There was a two-vehicle traffic accident on North College Street on Oct. 30 at 2:10 p.m. A traffic citation was issued.
There was a traffic crash reported on North County Road 25-A on Oct. 30 at 2:40 p.m. There were no reported injuries.
There was a traffic crash reported in the area of East Water and North Main streets on Oct. 31 at 4:45 p.m. The reported damage was minimal.
There was a traffic crash reported in the area of Walker and West High streets on Oct. 31 at 5:25 p.m. The reported damage was minimal.
DRUG OVERDOSE: There was a report of a male subject unresponsive and lying on the sidewalk on South Wayne Street on Oct. 28 at 9:30 p.m. The subject was found to be overdosing and was transported to UVMC.
A tire was reportedly slashed on a vehicle on New Street overnight between Oct. 29-30.
OVI: Brittney N. Petitjean, 30, of Troy, was charged with first-degree misdemeanor OVI-under the influence on Oct. 30.
Alexandria M. Bashore, 23, of Piqua, was issued a court summons for OVI on Oct. 31.
Lori A. Arthur, 44, of Piqua, was charged with first-degree misdemeanor OVI-under the influence on Nov. 1.
ASSAULT: Cody M. Crumpler, 26, of Piqua, was charged with first-degree misdemeanor assault and second-degree misdemeanor criminal damaging on Oct. 31. Crumpler was charged in connection with a reported assault on Oct. 27 at approximately 5 a.m.
There was a report of a student assaulting another student at Piqua Central Intermediate School on Oct. 31 at approximately 2 p.m.
DISORDERLY CONDUCT: There was a report of two house members in a physical fight on Wood Street on Oct. 30 at 9:45 a.m. No one wanted charges filed. The male that was being aggressive was taken to UVMC for an evaluation.
THEFT: A cell phone was reported stolen on Covington Avenue on Oct. 30 at 2:30 p.m.
Lorna K. Taylor, 50, of Piqua, was charged with first-degree misdemeanor theft on Oct. 30. Taylor was charged in connection with a report of a shoplifter at Kroger on Oct. 30 at 5 p.m.
The Piqua Utilities Department advised of a residence on Broadway turning on power on Oct. 31 after it had been turned off for non-payment. The investigation is ongoing.
HIT SKIP ACCIDENT: A female subject was cited for operating a vehicle without a license following a hit/skip accident reported on Commerce Drive on Oct. 31 at approximately 3:30 p.m.
SUSPICIOUS: A complainant stated he observed a male subject breaking into the residence behind him on Woodbridge Court on Oct. 31 at 11:35 p.m.
