Oct. 26

SCHOOL ISSUE: A deputy responded to the lunch room at the Upper Valley Career Center reference a fight between students. After speaking with both students and watching the video it was determined one student would be charged with disorderly conduct.

WARRANT: Deputy Edmondson and I conducted a traffic stop on the listed vehicle at the Speedway on Covington Avenue in Piqua. Upon further investigation, Kelly Bruner was arrested for a warrant and Gloria Pierce was arrested for possession of dangerous drugs and possession of marijuana.

Oct. 27

SEX OFFENDER: A deputy was assisting with the sex offender round up. The deputy went to the 1200 block of South Ridge Avenue, Troy, to verify if Mr. Myers resided there. The deputy spoke with Mr. Sanders who lived at the address. He said Mr. Myers moved out a month ago and he has not seen him. A statement was filled out.

DRUG PARAPHERNALIA: While conducting a sex offender address verification on Floyd Denlinger, with Covington Police Chief Lee Harmon and Covington Police Officer Novellino and Cline at 110 Williams St. in Pleasant Hill, a deputy observed a blue/green glass marijuana pipe sitting on the kitchen table. Chief Harmon found a silver and clear marijuana pipe and a brown and white marijuana pipe on the coffee table in plain view. Mr. Denlinger’s roommate Dustin Angle admitted that the blue/green pipe was his but the other two pipes were not, He said that the other pipes were left there by family members. Mr. Angle was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia.

The marijuana pipes were placed into evidence at the Miami County Sheriff’s Office.

THEFT: A report of theft from a home in the 4700 W. State Route 571, Union Twp. was reported.

Oct. 28

DRUGS DISPOSED: An officer assisted the DEA drug take back program and destroyed 3.2 pounds of pills.

Oct. 29

THEFT: A theft was reported in the 7900 block of South State Route 202, Tipp City.

POSSESSION: A deputy was behind the listed maroon Dodge truck when it made a left hand turn on to Lincoln St from W. Market Street in Troy. The vehicle failed to signal the turn, and the deputy caught up to the vehicle and initiated a traffic stop. The driver, Randy Graham, was subsequently charged with possession of marijuana and driving under suspension.

CONDEMNED PROPERTY ISSUE: A deputy responded to a trespassing complaint at 618 Harrison Avenue in Bradford. The complainant advised an unknown male was given permission by another family member to be inside the residence. It was determined the property had recently been condemned by the Miami County Health District and no persons were to be inside the residence. The male had left prior to a deputy’s arrival but the complainant was advised to report anyone at the residence or any suspicious behavior should it occur.

JUVENILE ISSUE: Deputies responded to the report of an unruly juvenile at the Bradford park. The deputies located the juvenile. The juvenile was arrested for disorderly conduct.

FOOT PURSUIT: A deputy assisted Clark County Sheriff’s Office with a pursuit of a wanted suspect. Subject drove off the interstate and bailed out of the suspect vehicle and fled on foot. Suspect ran through a soybean field. Suspect was arrested after a brief foot pursuit. The suspect was turned over to Clark County Sheriff’s Office along with the vehicle.

Oct. 30

THEFT: A customer’s truck and a used truck both had its wheels and tires removed at Joe Johnson’s car dealership. One window was also broken.

BAD CHECK: A bad check complaint was filed by Hart’s Automotive in Lostcreek Twp.

PLATE VIOLATION: A deputy initiated a traffic stop on a vehicle for a plate light violation on County Road 25-A, near Upper Valley Medical Center. Subsequently the driver was cited for the plate light violation, fictitious plates and driving under suspension. The passenger was cited for possession of marijuana and hash oil. The vehicle was towed from the scene. The driver and the passengers were released to a valid driver. The contraband was booked into the Miami County Property Room.

Oct. 31

THEFT: A report of a misuse of a credit card was reported in the 6000 block of Free Road, Springcreek Twp.

Nov. 1

THEFT: A resident in the West Cross Street area of Potsdam reported someone entered the residence and stole $200 while she was taking her children to school. Footprints were located on the porch.

TOOL THEFT: A resident in the 9000 block of Piqua-Lockington Road, Piqua reported a welder, power tools and other items were stolen from a building on the property.

UNDERAGE: A deputy was dispatched to the 10000 block of Markley Road, Laura, in reference a disturbance at the residence. At the conclusion of the investigation, Jordan Cress, 18, was taken into custody for underage consumption and weapons while intoxicated.

DRUGS: A report of drugs and contraband at the Incarceration Facility related to a Troy Police Department case was documented.
