AKRON — At its recent fall conference, the Ohio Federation of Republican Women (OFRW) elected Mary Beth Kemmer, a member of the Miami County Republican Women’s Club, as first vice president to serve for the 2018-19 term.
She will preside in the absence of the OFRW president and perform other duties as directed by the OFRW president, board of directors or executive committee.
“I am excited to continue my work with this great organization,” Kemmer said. “I was treasurer for the OFRW for five years prior to this election. I have served as president, vice president and membership chair of the Miami County Republican Women.”
In addition, Lyn Bliss, also a member of the Miami County Republican Women’s Club, was elected treasurer of the OFRW.
Founded in 1929, the OFRW is a statewide organization of hundreds of members in constituent clubs. It is the largest political organization in Ohio that provides an avenue for women to influence policy, develop candidates, and elect the leaders of Ohio.
The OFRW is a multi-generational, multi-cultural organization providing the structure and support for political activists to learn, engage and flourish. It is federated under the National Federation of Republican Women.
