Revival open to public
PIQUA — The public is invited “Camp meeting/REVIVAL 2017” Trinity Church, 622 Gordon Street, Piqua, on Nov 2. through Nov. 5.

Fall Rummage and Bake Sale
PIQUA — A Fall Rummage and Bake Sale will be held at St John’s Lutheran Church, 248 Wood Street, on Friday, Nov.3, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturday, Nov. 4, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Piqua Association of Churches Prayer Breakfast
PIQUA — The Piqua Association of Churches will be holding a Prayer Breakfast on Nov. 4 at 8 A.M. at the Piqua Church of the Brethren, 525 Boal Ave. in Piqua.
The speaker for the breakfast will be retired minister Don Wagstaff.
While serving Piqua Church of the Brethren, Wagstaff was active in the Piqua Ministerial Association, which is no longer in existence. He has been a long time member of Piqua Association of Churches and served on Piqua Compassion Network Board.
He was moderator of Harris Creek Church of the Brethren and was their interim pastor for a time after his retirement from Piqua Church of the Brethren.
There is no cost to attend but donations will be accepted for PAC.

Retirement Celebration at Pleasant Hill First Brethren Church
PLEASANT HILL — On Sunday, Nov. 5, Gene and DeAnn Oburn will be recognized for their many years of service in Brethren pastoral ministry.
Please plan to join us as we honor and thank them with memories, cards, letters, and other creative ways expressing our love. The day will begin with a special 10:30 a.m. worship celebration service followed by a carry-in dinner. Friends and family are all invited to share in this joyous event.

Guest speaker planned
PIQUA — The Upper Miami Valley Weston A. Price Chapter will host Penny Hines, Integrative Nutrition Health Coach and Occupational Therapist, on Monday, Nov. 6, at 7 p.m. at Piqua Nazarene Church, 400 S. Sunset, speaking about nutritional and environmental influences on child development. This event is free and open to the public.
Noodles, apple dumplings offered
COVINGTON — The Covington Church of the Brethren’s fall fundraiser, featuring homemade chicken and noodles and apple dumplings, will be Saturday, Nov. 11. The church is located at the corner of Wall and Wright streets.
Serving will begin at 11 a.m. and will continue until all is sold out, which usually occurs around 5 p.m. The public is invited to come and eat in, or carry-out.
The noodles are prepared from a tried-and-true recipe first developed years ago as the church’s festival booth offering. Beverages will be available, and there will be ice cream cups.
The church is handicapped accessible from the Wall Street entrance and an elevator there goes to the lower level where the dining hall is located. The Wright Street entrance also leads directly to a stairway down to the dining hall.

Church bazaar planned
COVINGTON — St. Teresa Catholic Church, 6925 W. US Rt. 36, Covington, will be holding their annual church bazaar on Saturday, Nov. 11, from 9-2:30 p.m.
There will be a quilt raffle with other prizes. Outside crafters and vendors will be present with many hand crafted items. There will also be homemade baked goods available.
St. Boniface Cabbage Roll / Heritage Bread Sale
PIQUA — What time is it? Time to order cabbage rolls and breads offered by the 4th Annual St. Boniface Oktoberfest Cabbage Roll / Heritage Bread Sale. The deadline to order is Monday, Nov. 13.
The home-made, pork cabbage rolls — oven/freezer ready — can be purchased at $2.50 each or a pan of 12 for $27; both include a sauerkraut/tomato mixture and baking directions.

Order Pick-Up is Saturday, Nov. 18, from noon to 6:30 p.m. and Sunday, Nov. 19, from 8 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the Caserta Activity Center, 218 S. Downing. Proceeds from the sale benefit the parish’s Family Life Group.
Thanksgiving meal offered
COVINGTON — The Covington Eagles and Fields of Grace Worship Center will host a free Thanksgiving dinner on Saturday, Nov. 18, from 4-7 p.m. at the Covington Eagles Hall.
Those attending are asked to please enter through the Debra Street entrance to the hall.
The meal this year will consist of turkey, mashed potatoes, gravy, homemade dressing, homemade noodles, green beans, dinner roll, pumpkin pie or Mrs. Wick’s sugar cream pie and drinks.
There will be take-outs available from 6-7 p.m. only. There will be a limit of two meals per adult. To pick up a take-out meal, please enter through the Debra Street entrance as well.
Home deliveries will be made to surrounding communities to individuals and their caretakers who are unable to attend the meal because of being homebound or being unable to drive. Meals can be reserved by calling Fields of Grace at (937) 573-4282, Tuesday through Thursday 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. until Thursday, Nov. 16. No calls will be taken the day of the meal.
Please bring a can or box of food for a local food bank.

Community Thanksgiving planned
PIQUA — The Piqua Association of Churches Community Thanksgiving Service will be Sunday, Nov. 19, at 4 p.m. hosted at St. John’s Lutheran Church, 248 Wood St. in Piqua.
A Community Choir will be participating in the service. Two rehearsals are scheduled for anyone who would like to sing in this choir for the Thanksgiving Service. Thursday, Nov. 9, and Thursday, Nov. 16, at 7 p.m. The choir will be directed by Jim Oda and accompanied by Ken DeWeese.
