Oct. 13

SCHOOL SNIFF:At the request of Miami East Schools, a deputy walked K9 Bear through the High School for a drug sniff

SCHOOL BUS INCIDENT: A deputy responded to the village of Laura in reference to a male juvenile being hit by

another male juvenile on the school bus. The complainant wished the incident be documented. Milton Union School Resource Officer was advised of the incident.

Oct. 14

CATFISHED: A deputy responded to 5000 block of Peters Road, Monroe Twp., in reference to a possible scam complaint. The reporting party explained he has been talking to a female on a dating website for the past couple of weeks.

Apparently she resides in Nigeria and he wanted to fly her to the United States. The reporting party said he spoke to her on the phone several times and he also sent her $1,000 and she has failed to fly to America. The deputy explained to the reporting party that he has been scammed out of $1000.

INFORMATION REPORT: A landlord gained entry to a property in the 600 block of Kitrina Avenue, Monroe Twp. to have plumbing work done. The landlord reported a large scope high powered rifle was sitting on the kitchen counter, numerous firearms lying about the home and a large volume of ammunition also unsecured and in plain view. He asked for the deputy to document the incident due to current events.

Oct. 18

FAIR GROUNDS DAMAGE: The swine building and farm bureau building were damaged overnight at the fairgrounds.

Oct. 19

THEFT: Report of a theft of a weight vest and tools were taken in the 1900 block of Westwood Drive, Troy.

STOLEN VEHICLE: A report of a stolen vehicle was reported in the 3200 block of East State Route 36, Brown Twp.

THEFT: A deputy was dispatched to the 1900 block of Woodlawn Drive, Troy, on a theft not in progress. After further investigation it was found that $3 in change and a pair of sunglasses were taken from a vehicle. No damage was found and no leads or suspects at this time.

INTIMIDATION:Deputies responded to Upper Valley Medical Center for a individual who had left the hospital after being pink-slipped. The individual returned to the hospital. After investigation, Todd Hunt, 31, Tipp City, was cleared from the hospital and taken into custody for disorderly conduct, menacing, and intimation.

ARREST: Deputies were dispatched to the listed location for a suspicious vehicle. Upon further investigation, Aaron Cox was arrested for drug possession, drug paraphernalia, and driving under suspension.
