Troy, Piqua compete to donate

MIAMI COUNTY — Donors will roll up their sleeves Thursday, Oct. 26, for the traditional Miami County arm wrestling competition for blood donations known as the Community Blood Center/US Bank Troy-Piqua Challenge.

This year marks the 20th anniversary of the rival blood drive. Troy and Piqua High Schools will hold campus blood drives on Tuesday, Oct. 24. Both community blood drives will take place Thursday, Oct. 26, from noon to 6 p.m. at the US Bank branches in Troy and Piqua.

The 2017 winner of the Challenge trophy and the $1,000 prize from sponsor US Bank will be announced prior to kick off at the Friday, Oct. 27, Troy-Piqua football game at Troy Memorial Stadium.
