Last salad luncheon Oct. 20

COVINGTON — The Covington Christian Church, 115 N. Pearl St., Covington, will offer its final salad luncheon of the year from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Oct. 20.

The meal will include homemade salads, finger sandwiches, desserts and a drink for $6. A country store with homemade items also will be available.

The church is handicapped accessible.

Trunk or treats planned

PIQUA — Two trunk or treat events are scheduled to take place at the end of this month, including:

• Piqua Baptist Church will be hosting an activity called Trunk or Treat for the children and families of our community. The event will be held on Sunday, Oct. 29, from 3-5 p.m.

The activity is for children from toddlers to sixth grade and their families. There will be cars decorated in various themes and numerous games for kids.

Candy will be handed out at each car the same as Beggar’s night on Oct. 31 at each house. There will be a drawing for various door prizes throughout the event. Trunk or Treat will be taking place in the back parking lot of the church. The church’s address is 1402 West High St. in Piqua.

• The Piqua Area Association of Churches will be holding a trunk or treat night event on Oct. 25 in downtown Piqua from 5-6 p.m.

Halloween events planned

COVINGTON — Fields of Grace Worship Center will host their seventh annual “Trunk or Treat” on Saturday, Oct. 21, from 1-3 p.m. at the Covington Community Park. Wear a non-scary costume and collect candy and goodies, check out the decorated vehicles, and much more.

A trunk-decorating contest open to all individuals and businesses in Covington and surrounding communities. Cash prizes will be awarded. Please call (937) 573-4282 to specify if you want to participate in the contest or just be a part of the lineup.

Covington FFA will once again be holding their Kiddie Tractor Pull at 1:30 p.m. for ages 3-8 years. Registration will begin at 12:30 p.m. at the Main Street exit to the park. This event is free. The FFA will also be collecting new socks for soldiers currently serving in the military.
