Village plans bicentennial events

CHRISTIANSBURG — Christiansburg will celebrate its bicentennial on Oct. 6-8

Events planned for the weekend include everything from live entertainment, to craft vendors, aparade, art auction featuring local artists, a primitive encampment by the Honey Creek in the park with Tim Milligan and artisan demonstrations, The library also will offer activities, including story rocks, a quilt show, history museums of the village and Christiansburg Jackson school, and a food truck rally with a beer garden. There are other activities planned around the village, as well as some competitions.

The Wright-Patterson Air Force Band of Flight is scheduled to perform, and Marion Ross’ Congressional Medal of Honor also will be on display during the weekend at the history museum.
