Aug. 26

TENT THEFT: A resident in the 5000 block of Troy-Sidney Road, Troy, reported a blue pop up tent was taken from the listed residence sometime in the last week. She stated it was sitting outside behind her garage. She requested the incident be documented.

THEFT: A deputy was dispatched to 3200 block of Tipp Cowlesville Road, Tipp City, in reference to a theft complaint.

DRUG POSSESSION: During a traffic stop, a deputy charged Jarad K. Sowers with misdemeanor controlled substance and being in possession of drug paraphernalia. He was given a warning for expired registration.

Aug. 27

JUVENILE ISSUE: A deputy responded to the David L. Brown Youth Center for a disturbance complaint. At the conclusion of the investigation a juvenile was arrested for assault and menacing and transported to the Juvenile Detention Center.

PUBLIC INDECENCY: A deputy responded to the 2001 W. Elm Street, Bradford, in reference to subjects urinating in public. After investigation a male was incarcerated for public indecency and an active warrant.

Aug. 28

DRUG POSSESSION:A deputy stopped the listed vehicle for a speed violation at the intersection of State Route 55 and Alcony-Conover Road. The driver was issued a citation for speed, expired registration, drug paraphernalia, and possession of marijuana.

Aug. 29

STOLEN VEHICLE: Englewood Police Department called to advise that he had located a silver Toyota Sequoia stolen out of Cincinnati. The officer explained that he located the vehicle in the Motel 6 parking lot and verified it had been stolen. He said the he remembered hearing this vehicle was in the possession of subjects Mark Burgin and Angela Roberts.

The deputy provided Officer Bronsord the aliases for each (Joshua Baker, Dashon Holder). Officer Bronsord located a room registered to Dashon Holder. He checked the room but it appeared to have been vacated. Cincinnati PD was notified about the vehicle being released to the Miami County Sheriff’s Office.

OVERDOSE: Two subjects dropped Dustin Sooner off at the Union Twp Life Squad House because he had overdose on drugs. Sooner was transported to the Upper Valley Medical Center and was arrested for an outstanding warrant.

TRAFFIC STOP: A deputy conducted a traffic stop on the listed vehicle for a speed violation in the area of S. County Road 25A and Boone Drive in Concord Township. After further investigation the driver was cited for the speed violation and for driving under a non-compliance license suspension.

WARRANT: A deputy initiated a traffic stop on the listed vehicle for a traffic violation at the Farrington interchange. After further investigation the driver was arrested on a warrant out of Montgomery County.

SUSPICIOUS: A deputy was conducting a building and grounds check of Bethel School at 2:30 a.m. The deputy observed a pickup truck sitting in the middle of the soccer fields that was occupied by a male driver and female passenger.

Once the driver saw my spotlight he drove the truck from the field to the parking lot. Once they came to the lot, the deputy advised dispatch of the findings and then began to investigate further.

The driver was identified as a 20 year-old from Huber Heights, Ohio. The female was identified as a 15 year old from Bethel Township. Case pending.

Aug. 30

WARRANT: Detectives from the Miami County Sheriff’s Office arrested a suspect with an active warrant. The suspect received additional drug related charges and was booked into the Miami County Jail.

DRUG POSSESSION: A deputy stopped the listed vehicle for a headlight violation. After further investigation Cameron Smith was charged with possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia
