PIQUA — The following are highlights from the Piqua police reports. All information is provided by Piqua police reports.
CRIMINAL DAMAGING: There was a criminal damage complaint on West North Street overnight between Aug. 17-18. Victim stated his vehicles were keyed and his tires had been slashed.
There was a report of a known subject punching holes in a wall at a residence on Washington Avenue on Aug. 18 at 6:10 p.m. Jacob S. Carnes, 27, of Sidney, was charged with second-degree misdemeanor criminal damaging in connection with this incident.
Female reported her car was damaged and entered and that items were stolen while it was parked in the lot of Bob Evans on Aug. 20 at 8 p.m.
DISORDERLY CONDUCT: There was a report of two males physically fighting in the area of West Ash and Franklin streets on Aug. 18 at 4 p.m. One of the males said it was over money. The other involved male was warned not to return to the other’s residence.
A male was reportedly staggering in a parking lot on Covington Avenue and unable to stay awake, possibly high on drugs, on Aug. 19 at 6:25 p.m. The male was found in possession of drug paraphernalia. Squad responded and transported the male to UVMC due to opiate overdose. Casey W. Pence, 35, of Piqua, was charged with second-degree misdemeanor possession of a drug abuse instrument and minor misdemeanor disorderly conduct in connection with this incident.
A subject reported a male neighbor was physical with him on Caldwell Street on Aug. 20 at 1:50 a.m. Tad L. Fagg, 20, of Piqua, was cited for minor misdemeanor disorderly conduct in connection with this incident.
Female yelling and cussing at other people at Lucky’s Bar on Aug. 20 at midnight. She was warned for disorderly conduct.
A resident reported they were assaulted outside of a business on North Wayne Street on Aug. 20 at approximately 2:15 a.m.
ACCIDENT: There was a traffic accident in the area of Each High and North Main streets on Aug. 18 at 4:15 p.m. There were no reported injuries.
ASSAULT: A subject reported being smacked in the face during an argument and the other involved party stated the other subject threw a can of beer during an incident reported on West North Street on Aug. 18 at 7:15 p.m. Neither party pursued charges.
ANIMAL PROBLEM: An officer was dispatched in reference to an animal complaint on Manier Avenue on Aug. 19 at 11:20 a.m. The officer made contact with a female subject who was scratched by loose dogs. The owner of the dogs was warned.
FRAUD: An officer responded to a fraud complaint on West Water Street on Aug. 19 at 1:45 p.m. A caller advised that someone had opened an account with Vectren several years ago and did not pay the balance. The caller told the officer that he believes he knows who the suspect is.
A female reportedly attempted to pass a counterfeit $20 bill at Kroger on Aug. 20 at 6:40 p.m.
THEFT: Money was stolen from a locked car on Caldwell Street overnight between Aug. 19-20.
A bicycle was reported stolen from a residence on South Main Street overnight between Aug. 19-20.
A wallet was reported stolen from a vehicle at Speedway on Scott Drive on Aug. 20 between 9:50-10:50 p.m.
