BRADFORD — The Bradford Board of Education seeks applicant to fill the unexpired term of board member, Stanley Jay Roberts, who resigned Aug. 16.
Roberts was elected to the Bradford Board of Education on Nov. 5, 2013. The board must name a replacement within 30 days of the resignation. The newly appointed member will serve until Dec. 31, 2017. If the appointed member desires to continue serving, he or she must run in the next general election.
Those interested in serving on the Bradford Board of Education should send a letter of interest to Carla Surber, Treasurer, Bradford Board of Education Office, 712 N. Miami Ave., Bradford, OH 45308
According to Ohio law, people serving on Ohio school boards must be at least 18 years old, district residents and registered voters.
Dr. Swabb said the board will review all letters of interest and decide on the replacement at its September 21, 2017, board meeting.
Bradford Exempted Village School serves approximately 500 students in one K-12 building.
