PIQUA — The following are highlights from the Piqua police reports. All information is provided by Piqua police reports.
DISORDERLY CONDUCT: A woman was reportedly seen in a yard in the area of Home Avenue and Race Street spray-painting a vehicle and acting odd on Aug. 16 at 8:30 a.m.
ANIMAL PROBLEM: A complainant wanted to report that his dog was attacked by a pit bull earlier in the day in the area of Broadway Street and West Ash Street on Aug. 16. The complainant advised that he had already spoke with the other dog’s owner but still wanted to make a report.
ILLEGAL DUMPING: There was a report of a personal watercraft that had been left in the area on private property at the Church of Jesus of the Apostolic Faith on Aug. 16. Watercraft appeared to have been scrapped. Unknown who watercraft belongs to. The sanitation department was contacted to remove the watercraft.
CRIMINAL DAMAGE: There was a report of vehicles on Falmouth Avenue that appeared to have been keyed. It was reported on Aug. 16 and believed to have happened sometime between Aug. 13-14. There are no suspects at this time.
There was damage reported on a truck on South Main Street that happened sometime between Aug. 16-17.
A vehicle on Wood Street was reported as being damaged on Aug. 17 at 9:40 p.m.
THEFT: A female juvenile offender, 13, was issued a court summons for first-degree misdemeanor theft and first-degree misdemeanor underage consumption of beer on Aug. 17.
There was a report of a contractor that took materials from a job site and he’s not been back to finish the job on Broadway on Aug. 16 at 9:40 p.m.
TELECOMMUNICATIONS HARASSMENT: A warrant was filed on Aug. 22 for Joshua L. Lewis, 27, of Dayton, for first-degree misdemeanor telecommunications harassment in connection with an incident reported on Fairfax Avenue on Aug. 17.
DRUG OFFENSE: An officer was dispatched to a theft in progress at Walmart in reference to a male shoplifting on Aug. 16 at approximately 5:20 p.m. The male was found to be in possession of drugs and he was charged. The male was incarcerated in the Miami County Jail. James C. Wilson, 19, of Bradford, was charged with third-degree felony tampering with dangerous drugs, fifth-degree felony possession of schedule 1 or 2 drugs, first-degree misdemeanor theft, and fourth-degree misdemeanor criminal trespass in connection with this incident.
TRESPASSING: A caller said someone came into her residence and slept on her bed on Staunton Street while she was out of town sometime between Aug. 11-16. There were no signs of forced entry or damage. Nothing was reported missing.
DISORDERLY CONDUCT: A subject was warned for disorderly conduct on Boone Street on Aug. 16 at 9:20 p.m.
An altercation was reported occurring in the area of South College Street and South Roosevelt Avenue between a male and female on Aug. 16 at 11:30 p.m.
ACCIDENT: A vehicle was rear-ended on North Main Street on Aug. 17 at 1:20 p.m. A driver was cited for failure to maintain assured clear distance ahead.
UNRULY JUVENILE: An officer responded to the area of Amherst Avenue on the report of juveniles knocking on doors and then running away on Aug. 17 at 10:20 p.m. The juveniles were all located and warned for trespassing. They were released to the custody of their parents.
