PIQUA — The following are highlights from the Piqua police reports. All information is provided by Piqua police reports.
FOUND PROPERTY: A bicycle was found in a yard on Drexel Avenue on July 26 and had been there for approximately two weeks. It was taken into police property.
THEFT: A lock was cut at a storage locker at Kenridge Storage on Sherry Drive sometime between July 12-26. Several vehicle parts were stolen.
A credit card was used without the owner’s permission on July 26.
Cash and a lawn mower were reported missing from a residence on Park Avenue on July 26 at 8:30 p.m.
A handgun went missing from a residence on Wood Street sometime between July 15-27.
RECEIVING STOLEN PROPERTY: Nigiah M. Archie, 20, was issued a summons for fifth-degree felony receiving stolen property and fifth-degree felony misused of a credit card.
ACCIDENT: A vehicle ran a stop sign and struck another vehicle on Camp Street on July 26 at approximately 7:30 p.m. The driver of the first vehicle was cited for a stop sign violation. A subject was arrested on a warrant.
ASSAULT: There was a report of a physical altercation between two females resulting in one having visible injury on Broadway Street on July 26 at approximately 11 p.m. A female juvenile, 17, was charged with first-degree misdemeanor assault. Hannah E. Wood, 19, of Piqua, was cited for minor misdemeanor disorderly conduct in connection with this incident.
ORDER VIOLATION: There was a report of a civil protection violation on Commercial Street on July 26 at 11:25 p.m. Chet M. Young, 28, of Piqua, was charged with first-degree misdemeanor violation of a protection order in connection with this incident.
SUSPICIOUS: A complainant saw two male subjects looking into car windows in the area of South Street and McKinley Avenue on July 27 at approximately 12:30 a.m. The suspects were located and released without further incident.
DISTURBANCE: There was a report of a disturbance on Cottage Avenue on July 27 at 1 a.m. It was a verbal argument.
There was a report of a disturbance on Covington Avenue on July 27 at approximately 1 p.m. Both subjects advised there was no violence or threats of violence. A physical altercation was later reported at the same residence at 3:45 p.m. that day.
There was a disturbance complaint on South Roosevelt Avenue on July 28 at 2:25 a.m. Dispatch advised the complainant stated a male was physical with his neighbor. Made contact with a male and female who had conflicting statements. Both were warned for disorderly conduct.
There was a report of a disturbance on Second Street on July 28 at 4:30 a.m. A male subject allegedly hit a female subject.
BURGLARY: Officers responded to a possible burglary at a residence on South Roosevelt Avenue that occurred sometime between July 23-27.
TRESPASSING: Subjects were reportedly witnessed going in and out of a vacant house on North College Street on July 27 at 4:30 p.m. One male was charged with trespassing.
MENACING: There was a menacing complaint on South Wayne Street on July 27 at approximately 7:15 p.m. A caller advised she was visiting a friend when a known suspect began yelling at her and threatened her.
WARRANT: A woman with a warrant was believed to be at a residence on Brook Street on July 27 at approximately 8:30 p.m. The female suspect jumped out of a second story window while officers were searching the interior of the residence.
