PIQUA — On Monday afternoon, Piqua and Troy police recovered 37 grams of cocaine, along with a gun that had been stolen in Troy, while conducting a search warrant at a residence on the 400 block of West Ash Street at 2:28 p.m. Small plastic bags, scales, and marijuana were found there as well, according to Deputy Chief Tom Christy.
Lewis B. Stewart III, 34, of that residence was arrested for first-degree felony drug possession, fourth-degree felony trafficking in drugs, fourth-degree felony receiving stolen property, and third-degree felony having a weapon while under disability.
Stewart is currently being held in the Miami County Jail on $45,000 bond. A preliminary hearing is set for Stewart on Sept. 2.
Stewart is also currently under indictment for a drug trafficking offense in Piqua. The date set for that trial is Oct. 27.
