Family Movie Night at Grace Church
PIQUA — Family Movie Night will feature “Star Wars, Episode 4: “A New Hope,” on Friday, July 28, at Grace Church, 9411 N. County Road 25-A, Piqua. Doors will open at 6:30 p.m. and the movie will begin shortly thereafter.
Come dressed as your favorite character and be ready to test your “Star Wars” knowledge — prizes will be awarded! Drinks and popcorn also will be provided, and we ask you to bring a snack or dessert to share. Family Movie Night is open to all ages.
Lunch with God at St. James
PIQUA — St. James Episcopal Church, 200 W. High St., will be hosting Lunch with God this Sunday, July 30, from 12:30-2 p.m. Come and enjoy a great meal. The meal is free and open to everyone.
Garden kraut demo set
PIQUA — The Upper Miami Valley Weston A. Price Chapter will have a demonstration on how to make garden kraut from the veggies you have in your garden. This fermentation preparation is great food for our gut health. We will meet at Piqua Nazarene Church, 400 S. Sunset Drive on Tuesday, Aug. 1, at 7 p.m. This event is free and open to the public.
Ice cream social planned
BRADFORD — The public is invited to a homemade ice cream social from 5-7 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 3, at Greenville Creek Christian Church, 5110 Buckneck Road, Bradford.
The menu includes four flavors of ice cream: vanilla, pineapple, strawberry and chocolate. There will also be hot dogs, ham, sloppy joes, chicken sandwiches, cake and pie available.
Greene Street’s church picnic coming up
PIQUA — Greene Street United Methodist Church will hold its all-church picnic from noon to 4 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 19, at Garbry Big Woods Reserve, 6660 Casstown-Sidney Road, Piqua. Each family is asked to bring a dish to share. There will be roast pork and fun and games! Please invite your family and friends. All three shelters have been reserved, but you might want to bring a lawn chair or blanket to sit on.
Coupon Club meets weekly
