PIQUA — The following are highlights from the Piqua police reports. All information is provided by Piqua police reports.

FOUND PROPERTY: A tablet was found in the roadway in the area of West Ziegler Road and North State Route 66 on June 21.

A bicycle was found on Walker Street on June 21.

THEFT: There was a report of a theft complaint at Walmart on June 21 between 1-2 a.m. The investigation is pending. Nathaniel R. Paul, 20, of Covington, was charged with first-degree misdemeanor theft in connection with this incident.

Firewood was reported stolen near a residence on South Wayne Street on June 21 at 6:20 p.m.

Lottery tickets were reported stolen at Marathon on Looney Road on June 21 at 10:30 a.m. Aaron J. Simpson, 30, of Fletcher, was charged with first-degree misdemeanor theft in connection with this incident. A warrant was requested.

There was a report of a handgun that was stolen from a residence by a known juvenile subject on Adams Street on June 22 at around 7:40 p.m. A warrant for the juvenile was requested.

BURGLARY: An officer responded to a report of a burglary on West Greene Street on June 21. A video game system was stolen from the residence sometime between 4 a.m. and 3:45 p.m on June 21. No signs of forced entry were discovered.

TRAFFIC STOP: A capsule containing an unknown substance was collected during a traffic stop on North Main Street on June 21 at 5:20 p.m. It will be sent to the Miami Valley Regional Crime Lab.

FRAUD: A complainant advised that someone made unauthorized online purchases using her bank card on June 21.

DISTURBANCE: There was a report of a disturbance on Park Avenue on June 21 at 10:35 p.m. There were no reports of physical violence.

There was a report of a disturbance on South Main Street on June 23 at around 1:30 a.m. There was no physical violence reported.

There was a report of subjects arguing and chasing each other across the apartment complex at the Woodgate Apartments on June 23 at around 1:40 a.m. The subjects reportedly left prior to officer arrival.

ACCIDENT: There was a report of a car accident involving a deer in the area of North County Road 25-A and Indian Ridge Drive on June 21 at 11:10 p.m.

There was a report of a two-vehicle traffic accident involving a car and a semi-truck in the area of East Water and North Main streets on June 22 at around 3:25 p.m.

There was a report of a traffic crash in the area of South College Street and Young Street on June 23 at around 1:40 a.m. The at-fault driver was cited.

CRIMINAL DAMAGE: A garage door was reportedly damaged on Brook Street on June 22 sometime between 7-9:30 p.m.

ASSIST SQUAD: There was an assist squad call for a nine-year-old boy who fell and hit his head near Rally’s Hamburgers on North College Street on June 22 at around 10:10 p.m. The boy advised he was playing with friends and fell down on the sidewalk. He was transported to UVMC by a Piqua Fire Department medic per the request of his mother.

WARRANT: Zachary R. Long, 26, of Piqua, was arrested for second-degree misdemeanor possession of a drug abuse instrument on June 22.

Brooke A. Montgomery, 20, of Piqua, was arrested for fourth-degree felony theft and first-degree misdemeanor assault on June 22.
