PIQUA — The following are highlights from the Piqua police reports. All information is provided by Piqua police reports.
DISTURBANCE: There was a report of a disturbance on North College Street on June 19 at 11:45 a.m. Bryon L. Jarrett, 29, of Sidney, was charged with first-degree misdemeanor domestic violence in connection with this incident.
There was a report of a disturbance on McKinley Avenue at Washington Commons on June 19 at 3:30 p.m. It was advised that it was only a verbal argument.
There was a report of a disturbance on Third Street on June 19 at 7:20 p.m. It was reportedly a civil matter.
There was a report of a disturbance on Harrison Street on June 19 at 7:50 p.m.
There was a report of a disturbance on South Wayne Street on June 20 at 4:05 p.m. The primary aggressor could not be determined.
There was a report of a disturbance on Orr Street on June 20 at 5 p.m.
An officer was dispatched to South Downing Street for a disturbance complaint on June 20 at 9:30 p.m. A subject advised there was an argument between two people, and it was physical at one point. Neither subject wanted to pursue charges.
There was a report of a disturbance on South Main Street on June 20 at around 9:30 p.m. There were no allegations of violence or threats of violence.
THEFT: A landlord reported appliances missing from a residence on First Street that went missing sometime between June 13-19.
Walmart reported they caught a female subject shoplifting on June 19 at around 3:20 p.m. Billie M. Bliss, 34, of Fletcher, was charged with first-degree misdemeanor theft in connection with this incident.
Money was reported stolen from a locked gun safe on Maryville Lane sometime between June 6-20.
A mirror was stolen from a vehicle on North College Street sometime overnight between June 19-20.
There was a report of shoplifting at Walmart on June 20 at 5 p.m. Rebecca L. Mowen,24, of Piqua, was charged with first-degree misdemeanor theft in connection with this incident.
A bike was reported stolen on Marlboro Avenue on June 20 at around 9:45 p.m.
SUSPICIOUS: Items in R Pets dumpster being dumped by known party on Covington Avenue on June 19.
SOLICITORS: There was a report of a solicitor selling frozen meat in the area of West North Street on June 19 at 3:45 p.m. He was warned for soliciting without a permit and a parking violation.
IDENTITY THEFT: A subject reported an unknown subject took out a loan using his information on June 19.
ACCIDENT: A vehicle reportedly crashed into a parked car on Clark Avenue on June 19 at 4:50 p.m. No injuries were reported, and both vehicles were removed from the roadway. The at-fault driver was cited.
There was a report of a traffic crash with injuries in the area of Riverside Drive and Gill Street on June 19 at around 5:10 p.m.
There was a report of a two-vehicle accident with no reported injuries on Covington Avenue on June 19 at 6:50 p.m. One vehicle had minor damage, and the other vehicle with no damage.
There was a traffic crash in the area of East Water and North Main streets on June 20 at approximately 8:45 a.m. There were no reported injuries.
A city fire truck reportedly struck a parked vehicle on June 20 at around 10:30 p.m.
CRIMINAL DAMAGE: The driver side window of a van was broken out sometime overnight on New Haven Road between June 19-20.
ANIMAL COMPLAINT: A subject reported her dog was attacked by her neighbor’s dog on Broadway Street on June 20 at 3:15 p.m.
CRIMINAL DAMAGE: A subject reported a female subject damaged her laptop on West High Street on June 20 at 4:20 p.m.
ASSAULT: There was a report of an assault near the Comfort Inn on East Ash Street on June 21 at 4 a.m. A subject advised he was jumped by two subjects.
