TROY — The Troy City Council passed a resolution in memoriam for the late M. Keith Bader. Bader passed away on June 2.
Bader served as a Troy City Council’s third ward from Jan. 1, 1976 to Dec. 1987.
Troy City Council held a public hearing regarding the 2018 fiscal tax budget on Monday.
No one spoke for or against the resolution. The tax budget must be approved by council on or before July 15 with the county auditor before July 20. The budget document reports the amount of property taxation that would normally accrues to the city. The funds subject to taxation total $1,408,650.
Council member John Schweser and Bobby Phillips were not in attendance.
The next Troy City Council meeting will be held at 7 p.m. Monday, July 3.
In other news:
• Troy Police Department patrolman Jared Cole resigned. According to Capt. Joe Long, Cole’s resignation was to pursue other career endeavors. His resignation was effective June 11.
• The annual Cincinnati Symphony Concert will be held at 8 p.m., Tuesday, June 27 on Prouty Plaza.
• The Mulberry Street Parking lot project will begin in July.
• The city of Troy offices will be closed on July 4. There is no change to recycling or trash pick-ups due to the holiday.
