Premier to offer career exploration event

Open to local high school students

DAYTON — Local high school students are invited to learn more about careers in health care at Premier Health’s upcoming MedQuest event. The event is designed to supplement area schools’ STEM curriculum with unique educational experiences.

MedQuest is a day-long event that provides students with the opportunity to participate in hands-on activities led by professionals in surgery, emergency services, rehabilitation, respiratory care, imaging and nursing. The hands-on activities range from providing emergency resuscitation on a simulation mannequin to learning suturing techniques.

“We are so excited to offer this event in our community,” said Yolanda Munguia, academic partnerships program manager for Premier Health. “There is so much talent in the Dayton area—and we want to make sure students are aware of the many career opportunities available to them right here at home!”

The event is taking place from 8:30 am to 3 pm on Wednesday, June 21, at Miami Valley Hospital.

To register online, go to https://www.miamivalleyhospital.org/Programs-and-Events/ and select “Special Event” on the June 21 calendar square. There is a $10 registration fee.
