PIQUA — The following are highlights from the Piqua police reports. All information is provided by Piqua police reports.
AGGRAVATED MENACING: A summons was issued for Jeffrey Hemm, 47, of Piqua, for first-degree misdemeanor aggravated menacing. According to Piqua police reports, this is in connection with a complaint made on May 19. The complaintant accused a previous employer of threatening him.
THEFT: There was a report of a possible theft at Walmart on June 7 at around 6:50 a.m. A white male with a beard and tan coat walked out of the store and allegedly triggered the alarms.
There was a report of a lawn mower stolen from the front porch of a residence on Cherry Street sometime between June 6-7.
There was a report of a leaf blower stolen from West Ash Street on June 7 at approximately 11:45 a.m.
Money was reported stolen at a residence on Jill Court on June 7.
A garden tiller was reported stolen on Garbry Road on June 8 at 9:40 a.m.
MENACING: There was a report of a male subject threatening a female subject on Staunton Street on June 7 at around 1:15 p.m. It was reportedly an argument. The male subject denied any physical violence or threats of physical violence occurring.
HIT SKIP ACCIDENT: A box truck reportedly struck a mailbox on Chinook Pass and left the scene on June 7 at around 2:15 p.m.
DISORDERLY CONDUCT: Officers responded to a report of a disturbance between two male subjects on Nicklin Avenue on June 7 at around 6:15 p.m. Both subjects were warned for disorderly conduct.
A reportedly intoxicated woman was warned for disorderly conduct at Washington Commons on McKinley Avenue on June 7 at around 8:35 p.m.
DISTURBANCE: There was a disturbance complaint on North Sunset Drive on June 7 at around 7:15 p.m. Both involved subjects denied physical violence or threats of violence and went their separate ways.
Officers responded on the report of a disturbance at a residence on Kitt Street on June 7 at 9 p.m. It was allegedly a physical confrontation, but officers were unable to determine the primary aggressor. There were no visible injuries.
There was a report of a disturbance on South Wayne Street on June 8 at 9:40 a.m. Both parties involved advised no physical violence and no threats of violence had occurred.
SOLICITORS: A male subject in the area of McDonald’s on Covington Avenue was reportedly begging for money on June 7 at around 8:40 p.m. A male subject was issued a citation for panhandling.
ACCIDENT: There was a traffic accident involving two vehicles on South Main Street on June 8 at around midnight. There were no reports of injuries. The at-fault driver was charged and released to a sober driver. He also reportedly refused an OVI test. Brent C. Stanley, 34, of Versailles, was charged with first-degree misdemeanor OVI in connection with this incident.
CRIMINAL DAMAGE: There was a report of spray paint on the sidewalk on Franklin Street on June 8 at around 11 a.m.
