June 7

FRAUD: The reporting party advised she was selling a motorcycle on Craigslist and was contacted by an unknown party about buying the motorcycle. The unknown buyer issued the complainant a check for $6,500 dollars in order for her to ship the motorcycle. The issuing bank was contacted and advised the name the check was written in was victim to identity fraud, and checks from that account were not valid. The complainant wanted the incident documented and advised that she did not ship the motorcycle due to the suspicious activity.


Deputies assisted squad in the 2200 block of Woodstock Court, Concord Twp., in reference, to a suicide attempt using heroin. The female involved was revived by squad using Narcan. Case pending

June 8

SEX OFFENDER: A deputy attempted to verify a sex offender’s registered address in the 1000 block of Ginghamsburg Road, Tipp City. The subject had left on May 25.

BAD CHECKS: A report of four bad checks to the Rolling and Sliding Doors of Dayton, totalling $6,387 was reported.

BURGLARY: A reported burglary in progress was reported in the 7500 block of State Route 40, Tipp City. The suspects were arrested and incarcerated.

June 9

GUN GONE: A stolen handgun was reported in the 10000 block of Blocher Road, Newberry Twp.

DISTURBANCE: A deputy responded to the 4100 block of Snell Road, Union Twp. for a dispute over a fence.

WRONGFUL ENTRUSTMENT: A deputy responded to an unruly juvenile complaint in the area of Frederick-Garland and Range Line Roads.

A report was made of a 12 year old boy driving his father’s pick up truck as his father followed behind him in his backhoe.

Upon arrival the boy had parked his dad’s truck in a driveway close by. Shortly after the deputy’s arrival, his father pulled up in the backhoe.

The farmer informed the deputy that he is a farmer and he was driving the backhoe to his property and his 12 year old son was to drive his truck there and meet him as he followed.

The juvenile was warned for unruly and the adult was warned for wrongful entrustment and child endangerment.

June 10

DRUG OFFENSE: A resident in the 200 block of W. Monument Street, Pleasant Hill, advised her three children had confessed to her that they had smoked something from a pipe with two other juveniles at the park. The incident occurred last night. The three children advised they only know the first name of one of the other juveniles.

WALLET GONE: A report of stolen wallet was reported at a garage sale in the 3200 block of Magnolia Drive, Tipp City.

BURGLARY: A reported burglary in the 8600 block of Looney Road, Piqua. The homeowner reported his safe with two guns, cash and gift cards was missing. Case pending.

ASSIST: A deputy responded to the 1700 block of N. County Road 25-A, Concord Twp. for a reported fire.

DISTURBANCE: A deputy responded to a reported disturbance in the 8600 block of Casstown Clark road. The deputy found that they were having a verbal altercation over a civil matter. The parties left the farm with their equipment without further incident.
