PIQUA — A juvenile is facing charges this week after allegedly shooting another juvenile with a BB gun.
According to Piqua police reports, the incident took place on the 1700 block of Broadway on Monday evening at approximately 8:20 p.m. The suspect was a 12-year-old boy who reportedly was involved in an argument with the victim, a 10-year-old boy. The suspect allegedly shot the victim with the BB gun, which hit the victim on the left side of his chest, leaving a small bruise. Other than the bruise, there were no reports of injuries or of the victim needing medical attention. One of the victim’s parents reported the incident, and the BB gun was seized as evidence.
The suspect was charged with first-degree misdemeanor assault and first-degree misdemeanor discharging firearms in connection with this incident. The suspect was issued a summons to appear in court.

There were two home burglaries reported earlier this week.
The first one was reported at the Bent Tree Apartments on Garbry Road. It was reported on Monday, but reportedly took place sometime over the weekend, when the residents returned and found someone had broken into the residence and stolen some tools.
The second incident was reported on the 500 block of Harrison Street on Monday and took place sometime between 6:15 a.m. and 5 p.m. that day. Two pistols and ammunition were reported missing from the residence.
