PIQUA — The following are highlights from the Piqua police reports. All information is provided by Piqua police reports.
ACCIDENT: There was a two-vehicle traffic crash on Career Drive near the Upper Valley Career Center on April 19 at approximately 10:30 a.m. There were no reported injuries. A driver was cited.
There was a report of an accident with no injuries on Madison Avenue on April 19 at 5:45 p.m. A resident had backed into a parked vehicle. A driver was cited.
BURGLARY: There was a burglary complaint on Brook Street on April 19. The caller stated someone went into his house and stole his TV. The caller did not have any suspects, and there were no signs of forced entry.
DISORDERLY CONDUCT: There was a report of a man staggering on County Road 25-A near the old Piqua Power Plant on April 19 at approximately 3:40 p.m. He was located with his brother. He was having trouble maintaining his balance. He was transported to UVMC by squad.
There was a report of a man outside a residence on Second Street causing a problem on April 19 at 6:50 p.m. Both the caller and the man were warned for disorderly conduct.
ANIMAL COMPLAINT: There was a report of a dog jumping a fence and allegedly attacking another dog on South Wayne Street on April 19 at approximately 4 p.m. Sarah M. Goetz, 23, of Piqua, was cited for minor misdemeanor dogs running at large in connection with this incident.
THEFT: A trailer was reported stolen on Garbry Road on April 19 at 5:15 p.m.
DISTURBANCE: There was a report of a disturbance on Cottage Avenue on April 19 at approximately 7:10 p.m.
FRAUD: A victim reported being defrauded of $500 from a fraudulent loan scam on April 19.
CRIMINAL DAMAGE: A window was broken and multiple locations at a residence on Miami Street were spray painted on April 19.
HIT SKIP ACCIDENT: An unknown vehicle struck the victim’s vehicle on Madison Avenue sometime between 6:45-8:45 p.m. on April 19.
