Poppy Days drive to begin

PIQUA — The Piqua American Legion Auxiliary Unit 184-Schnell-Westfall is gearing up for its annual Poppy Days fund drive. All of the funds riased will go to veterans and theif families for such needs as helping with medical bills, housing and utilities.

The American Legion also provides “ditty bags” that contain items like puzzle books, hygiene items, stationery, cards, and other comfort items to homebound veterans and veterans in nursing homes.

The veterans served are not just American Legion members, but any veteran regardless of age or war era, including active veterans.

Donations are welcomed at: American Legion Auxiliary Unit 184, P.O. 552, 301 W. Water St., Piqua, OH 45356.

Poppy Days are April 28-29.
