PIQUA — The following are highlights from the Piqua police reports. All information is provided by Piqua police reports and Miami County Municipal Court records.
ACCIDENT: There was a three-vehicle accident on Covington Avenue near Burger King on March 30 at 1 p.m. A driver was cited. There was a possible injury reported.
There was an accident on Nicklin Avenue on March 31 at 6:35 a.m. There were no injuries.
There was a two-vehicle traffic crash on U.S. Route 36 near the old Kmart on March 31 at around 6:40 a.m. No injuries were reported. An adult male driver was cited for failing to maintain assured cleared distance ahead.
There was a two-vehicle accident in the area of Robinson Avenue and Riverside Drive on March 31 at around 2:50 p.m. No injuries were reported.
There was a traffic crash on the Interstate-75 overpass on Ash Street on March 31 at 3:10 p.m. No injuries were reported.
DISORDERLY CONDUCT: There was a report of an intoxicated male subject near Ulbrich’s Market on South Wayne Street who was believed to be getting ready to drive away from the location on March 30 at 4:15 p.m. The male subject was stopped in the parking lot prior to getting in his vehicle. He was provided transportation home.
THEFT: A complainant advised that her wallet was stolen when she laid it down at Walmart and walked away from it on March 30 at 6:35 p.m. Case is pending review of video footage.
HIT SKIP ACCIDENT: A hit skip accident was reported in the area of West High and North Downing streets on March 30 at approximately 8:15 p.m.
POSSIBLE DRUG OVERDOSE: An officer was dispatched to an assist squad call in reference to a non-responsive male subject, possibly drug-related on Gordon Street on March 31 at around midnight. The male subject was administered Narcan and transported by squad to UVMC for further treatment. William T. Nelson, 65, of Piqua, was charged with first-degree misdemeanor abusing harmful intoxicants in connection with this incident.
SUSPECTED DRUG OFFENSE: A driver was cited for driving under a suspended license on East Ash Street near Home Depot on March 31 at approximately 9:30 a.m. Suspected heroin was sent to the Miami Valley Crime Lab for analysis. The passenger was arrested on an unrelated warrant. This investigation is pending.
DISTURBANCE: There was a report of a disturbance on Camp Street on March 31 at around 1:45 p.m. A woman was warned for trespassing.
CHILD ENDANGERING: Jaima S. Adams, 51, of Piqua, was charged with first-degree misdemeanor child endangering on April 3. According to Miami County Municipal Court records, Adams allegedly left a five-year-old child in her custody at a residence “without proper care being provided” on the 900 block of West High Street on April 2. Adams is scheduled to be arraigned on April 12. The Miami County Child Services Board was contacted.
