PIQUA — The following are highlights from the Piqua police reports. All information is provided by Piqua police reports.
WARRANT: A male subject with several warrants out of Logan and Clark counties was found at a location on the 8400 block of North County Road 25-A on March 22 at approximately 2:45 p.m. He was incarcerated at the Miami County Jail on the Clark County warrants.
A man with a warrant was reportedly found at a business on Sherry Drive on March 23 at approximately 8:45 a.m.
A man with a warrant was located at a business on Wood Street on March 23 at 11:35 a.m. He was incarcerated on the warrant.
ACCIDENT: There was a traffic crash in the area of Buckeye and West Water streets on March 22 at approximately 3:10 p.m. There was no reports of injuries.
There was an accident on the 1300 block of Nicklin Avenue on March 23 at approximately 8 p.m. A victim was reportedly injured in this accident.
POSSIBLE DRUG OVERDOSES: There was a report of a woman who was unresponsive and not breathing on Scudder Street on March 22 at approximately 4:40 p.m. The medics arrived and gave the woman Narcan, and she started breathing. She was transported to the hospital by the medics.
A woman was found unresponsive in her bathroom on South Downing Street on March 23 at approximately 4:35 p.m. Medics arrived and administered Narcan. The woman became responsive. She was transported to UVMC.
Officers responded to an assist squad complaint on Park Avenue on March 23 at approximately 8:45 p.m. An adult male subject was found unresponsive. Officers and EMS squad spoke with the subject. He refused to be transported to the hospital for further evaluation. Drug contraband was reportedly found at the scene and placed into evidence. The subject admitted he did heroin that night.
A male subject was reportedly found unresponsive in the bathroom of an apartment on Chevy Lane on March 23 at 10:05 p.m. He was transported by squad to UVMC for further medical treatment.
An officer assisted the squad on a possible drug overdose on South Wayne Street on March 24 at approximately 1:30 a.m. The female suspect was taken to the hospital, and evidence of drug use was reportedly found.
DRUG OFFENSE: Christy A. Wilkins, 41, of Sidney, was charged with fifth-degree felony drug possession and first-degree misdemeanor drug possession on March 22.
DISORDERLY CONDUCT: An intoxicated woman was reportedly walking on Young Street on March 22 at 5:30 p.m. She was given a ride home. Officers responded back to the residence on Park Avenue shortly afterwards after the woman reportedly caused a disturbance. Constance J. Justice, 51, of Piqua, was cited for minor misdemeanor disorderly conduct.
A man was reportedly acting disorderly at Walmart on March 22 at approximately 7:30 p.m. He was warned for trespassing and escorted from the business.
A highly intoxicated male subject was stumbling in the middle of the street creating a traffic hazard. He was reportedly charged with disorderly conduct.
DISTURBANCE: There was a report of a disturbance on Wilson Avenue on March 22 at approximately 7:40 p.m. There were no reports of violence.
There was a report of a disturbance on South Street on March 23 at approximately 3 a.m. There were no reports of violence.
UNRULY JUVENILE: A juvenile student allegedly made threats to another juvenile student at Washington Primary School on March 22 at 9:20 p.m.
There was a complaint of juveniles throwing rocks in the street on Wood Street on March 23 at 7:30 p.m. They were told to stopped. They then returned shortly after.
TRAFFIC STOP: A vehicle was stopped for a stop sign violation in the area of West Ash and North College streets on March 22 at approximately 10:45 p.m. The driver was found to be suspended and to have an active warrant. He was cited for driving under suspension and arrested on the warrant.
A vehicle reportedly failed to yield at an intersection and almost caused an accident in the area of South Street and McKinley Avenue on March 23 at around 12:30 a.m. An officer stopped the vehicle and found the driver to be under the influence of alcohol. She was arrested and cited for OVI, failing to come to a complete stop at a stop sign, and failure to yield at an intersection. Kimberle A. Evans, 36, of Troy, was charged with first-degree misdemeanor OVI-under the influence in connection with this incident.
An officer observed a man with a warrant for his arrest driving on West High Street on March 23 at 9:40 a.m. The officer stopped the vehicle, and the man was arrested.
ANIMAL COMPLAINT: A caller reported a brown pit bull barking and growling at her while she was in her vehicle on South Wayne Street on March 23 at 6:30 a.m. The dog was located in the yard of its owner. The owner was contacted and warned for dogs at large and trespassing. Sarah M. Goetz, 23, of Piqua, was cited for minor misdemeanor dogs running at large in connection with this incident.
