COVINGTON — The Covington Alumni Foundation is accepting grant requests on behalf of the Covington Education Foundation from organizations that benefit the education of the Covington community. To be eligible for a grant, an organization must be recognized as tax-exempt under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code, be nondiscriminatory, and address needs that are not met fully by existing organizational or community resources.
To submit a grant request, a completed and signed application with all necessary supporting documentation and six copies must be submitted and received at the Covington Board of Education offices by end of work day June 2, 2017, preceding the grant review meeting. We regret that incomplete applications and applications submitted past the deadline will not be considered. The Grant Application Guidelines provide a detailed outline of grant proposal requirements. Applicants are encouraged to contact The Troy Foundation for assistance in determining eligibility for a grant and working through the proposal process.
Grant applicants will be notified in writing of the decision of the Distribution Committee within 10 days of the grant review meeting. Those who are approved will be required to return a completed Grant Acceptance Document before funds can be disbursed and will be required to submit a Final Report Narrative within ninety days of receiving the grant or at the completion of the project or program for which the funds were received.
Gifts made to the Covington Alumni Foundation and the Educational Endowment Fund are tax-deductible and help to ensure that these organizations may continue to meet the ongoing needs of the community and the School District. The funds are component funds of The Troy Foundation.
Applications are available online at www.thetroyfoundation.org.
