Information provided by the Miami County Sheriff’s Office:
SUSPICIOUS COMPLAINT: A deputy was dispatched to the Missionary Church, Potsdam, on a suspicious complaint. Dispatch advised that a vehicle has been left in the parking lot of the church since Aug. 2.
IDENTITY FRAUD: A deputy spoke with a Piqua resident and he advised the sheriff’s office that an unknown person had stolen his identity. The resident said that the suspect used his information to fraudulently apply for credit cards but he was able to cancel them.
THEFT AT YMCA: A Troy resident reported a theft not in progress at the YMCA, 3060 South County Rd 25-A. Upon arrival, the resident told the deputy someone stole his Verizon LG cell phone, and a set of keys from his unlocked locker at the YMCA. The resident told the deputy this happened on Aug. 4 and he has already spoken with the director at the YMCA. The resident said he will be contacting Verizon to cancel service on that cell phone. The deputy then provided Mr. Rohlfs with a report number so he can give it to Verizon to reimburse his cell phone.
OVI:On the listed date and time a deputy stopped the listed vehicle for a moving violation. The deputy made contact with the driver who was identified as the defendant Misty L. Moorman. After further investigation Ms. Moorman was found to be under the influence of alcohol and was taken into custody for OVI.
