PIQUA — The following are highlights from the Piqua police reports. All information is provided by Piqua police reports.
CRIMINAL MISCHIEF: A resident at the Piqua Village Apartments reported going out to her car on July 31 and finding the gas cap open and a white powdery substance around it.
Someone allegedly threw beer bottles onto the roof of the Piqua Paper Box Company. It was reported on July 31.
SUSPICIOUS: A landlord reported possible drug activity with a tenant on Delaware Circle on July 31. The landlord advised that she was moving forward with the eviction process.
THEFT: A lawn mower was reported stolen from the 1700 block of Park Avenue on July 31 at 12:33 p.m.
Bushnell’s Collision on Staunton Street reported someone entering their fenced in yard and stealing numerous tools from a tow truck on July 31.
A resident reported a male subject attempting to use one of her credit cards on July 28.
Tools were reported stolen from the garage area at the Piqua Village Apartments on Covington Avenue on July 31.
A subject reportedly stolen $40 from a residence on the 1400 block of Garfield Avenue on Aug. 1 at 9:30 p.m. A warrant was requested for Troy resident Angela S. Sanchez, 38, for theft in connection with this incident.
A vehicle was reported stolen from the 1000 block of Lincoln Street on Aug. 2 between 3 a.m. and 9 a.m.
DISTURBANCE: Police responded to a domestic dispute on the 600 block of Beverly Drive on July 31 at 1:17 p.m. There was reportedly an argument between a husband and wife while the wife was moving out of the residence.
Police responded to a report of a possible fight between two men on the 100 block of W. Grant Street on July 31 at 4:57 p.m. The complainant stated that the fight did not occur.
Police responded to a possible domestic dispute between a step-son and a step-father on the 300 block of Pinewood Avenue on July 31 at 9:12 p.m. The step-son left before officer arrival.
Police responded to a report of a domestic dispute between a husband and wife on the 1300 block of Arrowhead Drive on Aug. 1 at 12:04 a.m. There were no reports or threats of violence.
A woman’s boyfriend allegedly slapped her and then “threatened to punch her in the ribs,” according to police reports. The incident reportedly took place in the area of Staunton and E. Main Streets on Aug. 1 at 12:19 p.m. Zachary Q. Nicely, 20, was charged with first-degree misdemeanor domestic violence in connection with this incident.
BURGLARY: The concession stand at 1421 South Street was reportedly broken into between 7:30 p.m. on July 30 and 1:30 p.m. on July 31. Numerous food items were missing.
Someone reportedly stole money from the lock box at Friendship Baptist Church on Gordon Street sometime between July 17 and July 31.
A resident reported someone breaking into his residence on the 500 block of S. Wayne Street on Aug 1 between 6:56 p.m. and 8:56 p.m. Multiple guns were reported missing.
FOUND PROPERTY: A chainsaw was found in the area of Morrow and Young Streets on July 31 at 7:44 p.m. It was placed into police property.
MENACING: A resident reported a male “coming to her work and making inappropriate statements to her coworkers about her” on July 31, according to police reports. The male was warned for menacing by stalking.
HIT SKIP ACCIDENT: There was a hit/skip crash reported in the area of Gordon and Young Streets on Aug. 1 at 12:10 a.m. “Juvenile was found to have stolen a vehicle and wrecked it,” according to police reports. “He was arrested on multiple charges and incarcerated.”
DISORDERLY CONDUCT: An officer observed a male walking on the 100 block of N. Main Street on Aug. 1 at 2:20 a.m. He appeared to be intoxicated and unable to walk. The male was transported home. Rick D. Berryhill, 50, was cited for disorderly conduct in connection with this incident.
A resident reported a suspect “pounding on her door and yelling” on the 300 block of Roosevelt Avenue on Aug. 1 at 5:08 a.m.
A male reportedly made threats about getting his firearm out of his vehicle while at the Red Carpet Inn on Aug. 1 at 5:17 p.m.
An intoxicated woman was reportedly being disruptive and spitting on a male at a residence on the 1400 block of Plum Street on Aug. 1 at 11:10 p.m. Constance J. Justice, 49, was cited for disorderly conduct in connection with this incident.
Two subjects were warned for disorderly conduct on the 600 block of Gordon Street on Aug. 2 at 1 a.m. after police responded to a report of a possible disturbance.
A female at Z’s Food and Spirits on N. Wayne Street reported being assaulted by a male on Aug. 2 at 1:13 a.m. Tracy L. Fosler, 40, and Alan M. Martin, 27, were charged with fourth-degree misdemeanor disorderly conduct in connection with this incident. Daemon A. Fosler, 22, was charged with second-degree misdemeanor obstructing official business and fourth-degree misdemeanor disorderly conduct in connection with this incident. Latosha S. Atkins, 22, was cited for having an open container while she was allegedly on the sidewalk in front of the bar.
TRESPASSING: Michael W. Butts, 26, was charged with fourth-degree misdemeanor criminal trespassing on Aug. 2 at 2:57 a.m. Butts was allegedly a part of a disturbance involving two male subjects beating on a woman’s front door and windows at Washington Commons. Butts had been trespassed from the residence prior to this alleged incident, according to police reports.
SHOTS FIRED: Police responded to a report of shots fired on the 100 block of S. Roosevelt Avenue on Aug. 2 at 3:22 a.m. Subjects found in the area were reportedly uncooperative. Shell casings were found in the road.
