Community of Song worship service
COVINGTON — Covington Church of the Brethren invites you to attend their August 9th worship service beginning at 9:30 a.m. They have invited the Community of Song group to sing. The group consists of members from the Covington, Happy Corner, Salem, Elgin and Trotwood Church of the Brethren. They have been singing together eight years and sing early American and contemporary music.

FBC 5k set for Sept. 12
TROY — First Baptist Church is holding its annual 5k race at 10 a.m. September 12 at the church, 53 S. Norwich Road, Troy.
This year, the church partnering with the Lincoln Community Center to donate each participant’s entire registration fee to the LCC After School All Stars Program in Troy.

Support for parents, caregivers
TROY — Special seminar and support groups are under way at St. Patrick Parish. The church offers GriefShare for those who have lost loved ones through death. Two sessions are offered on Wednesdays from 1-2:30 p.m. or 7-8:30 p.m. in the Parish Center, 444 E. Water St., Troy.
Cancer Companions is offered on the second and fourth Thursdays. These sessions are for patients, family and care givers. These support groups can be beneficial for those going through a tough time to help them feel they are not alone or their thoughts and feelings are not abnormal. Share with those dealing with the same situations and help each other through this time while learning ways to do it from the experts.
