PIQUA — The following are highlights from the Piqua police reports. All information is provided by Piqua police reports.
FOUND PROPERTY: A bicycle was found in a back yard on South Roosevelt Street on Dec. 14.
HIT SKIP ACCIDENT: A vehicle reportedly hit parked cars on West High Street and left the scene on Dec. 14 at 8:20 a.m. The driver was later located and cited.
AGENCY ASSIST: Police assisted Clearcreek Township Police with a search warrant of a residence on the 1600 block of Dover Avenue on Dec. 14 at 2:36 p.m.
A male juvenile reportedly fell off his bicycle and cut the back of his neck on Young Street on Dec. 15 at 4:36 p.m. He was transported to the hospital by the squad.
DISORDERLY CONDUCT: Two people were reportedly becoming aggressive with each other on East Water Street on Dec. 14 at 4:42 p.m. They were warned for disorderly conduct.
There was a report of two men fighting at Speedway on Scott Drive on Dec. 15 at noon.
THEFT: Officers responded to a report of a theft in progress at the Miami Valley Centre Mall on Dec. 14 at 5:05 p.m. The caller reported that a man stole her purse while she was outside the mall. The area was searched, but the suspect was not located.
UNRULY JUVENILE: There was a report of several juveniles playing on the frozen river near the former Bennet School site on South Main Street on Dec. 15 at 11:51 a.m. The area was searched but they were not located.
There was another report of juveniles playing down by the river near the Shawnee bridge near Main Street on Dec. 15 at 2:13 p.m. An officer advised the juveniles there of the dangers of playing on the frozen river. One juvenile accident submerged her feet and a squad was called.
DRUG OVERDOSE: There was a report of a heroin overdose at a residence on Maple Street on Dec. 15 at 12:18 p.m. Medics revived the suspect with narcan and transported the suspect to UVMC for evaluation. Timothy A. Houshel, 40, of Covington, was charged with first-degree misdemeanor possession of a drug abuse instrument in connection with this incident. Houshel is currently being held at the Miami County Jail on $1,500 bond.
A woman was found unconscious at the Red Carpet Inn from a reported heroin overdose on Dec. 15 at 10:44 p.m. The woman was awake and alert upon officer arrival, and she reportedly admitting to snorting heroin earlier. According to police reports, there were four empty capsules located in the room. She refused treatment by squad. Katrina M. Fitzgerald, 20, of Piqua, was charged with second-degree misdemeanor obstructing official business in connection with this incident.
