PIQUA — The following are highlights from the Piqua police reports. All information is provided by Piqua police reports.
AGGRAVATED BURGLARY: There was a reported of a woman entering a residence on South Roosevelt Avenue without being let in and assaulting an occupant on Dec. 7 at 5:45 p.m. Rachael M. Kenner, 39, of Piqua, was charged with first-degree felony aggravated burglary in connection with this incident. A warrant for her arrest was issued on Dec. 8.
BURGLARY: A home burglary was reported on South Street on Dec. 7 between noon and 2:40 p.m. Property was reported missing.
A subject reported items missing from a residence on Broadway on Dec. 8. They went missing sometime between 4 p.m. Dec. 7 and 4 p.m. Dec. 8. There was no forced entry reported.
THEFT: Three large packages were reported stolen from outside a residence at the Bent Tree Apartments on Garbry Road on Dec. 5 sometime between noon and 6 p.m.
A juvenile was reported as stealing a car from a known person on Covington Avenue on Dec. 8 at 2:35 a.m. The male juvenile offender, 15, was charged with fourth-degree felony theft and juvenile offenses in connection with this incident.
There was a report of a gas drive-off at the Clark gas station on North Sunset Drive on Dec. 8 at approximately 8:15 a.m. The suspect vehicle was reportedly a blue Honda SUV.
There was a report of cash being stolen on West High Street on Dec. 8 at 11:30 a.m.
TELECOMMUNICATIONS HARASSMENT: There was a report of a telecommunications harassment complaint on West Water Street on Dec. 7 at approximately 7:30 p.m. Joshua L. Graham, 24, of Piqua, was charged with fifth-degree felony telecommunications harassment in connection with this incident.
CRASH INVESTIGATION: An officer conducted a traffic stop on a subject for having one headlight on Ash Street on Dec. 8 at 12:40 a.m. During the course of the traffic stop, the subject’s vehicle rolled back and struck the patrol vehicle, according to police reports. The crash investigation was turned over to the officer’s supervisor, and the driver was released with a warning from the traffic stop.
DISORDERLY CONDUCT: There was a report of an ongoing issue between juveniles resulting in an incident between parents at a residence at the Colonial Terrace Apartments on Covington Avenue on Dec. 8 at approximately 8:45 a.m. According to police reports, a parent confronted another parent and allegedly damaged a door when the other parent attempted to close the door and stop the argument. Feather D. Parks, 30, of Piqua, was charged with second-degree misdemeanor criminal damaging, fourth-degree misdemeanor criminal trespassing, and minor misdemeanor disorderly conduct in connection with this incident.
There was a report of a student allegedly spitting iced tea on another juvenile on Indian Trails on Dec. 8 at 3:11 p.m. The investigation is pending.
LITTERING COMPLAINT: A subject reported that someone is setting out trash with hers without permission on White Tail Lane on Dec. 9 at 9 a.m.
TRESPASSING: There was a report of a woman causing problems at Z’s Food and Spirits on North Wayne Street and refusing to leave on Dec. 8 at 11:18 p.m. Miranda M. Jones, 28, of Laura, was charged with fourth-degree misdemeanor criminal trespass in connection with this incident.
DISTURBANCE: There was a report of a private property accident at the Red Carpet Inn on Country Club Road on Dec. 8 at 11:50 p.m. The male driver was reportedly intoxicated and was arrested for OVI. He also reportedly made threats to kill all of the officers involved while he was being processed. Russell Whited, 63, of Knoxville, Tenn., was charged with first-degree misdemeanor aggravated menacing and first-degree misdemeanor OVI-under the influence in connection with this incident.
