PIQUA — The following are highlights from the Piqua police reports. All information is provided by Piqua police reports and Miami County Municipal Court records.

HIT SKIP: A hit skip accident was reported on Blaine Avenue overnight between Dec. 1-2.

DRUG OVERDOSE: There was a report of a drug overdose on Clark Avenue on Dec. 2 at approximately 2:30 p.m. A Piqua Fire Department EMS squad transported a male subject to UVMC. Christopher D. Ridenour, 31, of Piqua, was charged with fifth-degree felony drug possession/abuse in connection with this incident.

There was a report of a male subject possibly overdosing on opiates on McKinley Avenue on Dec. 2 at 4:38 p.m. A squad transported the subject to UVMC.

AGENCY ASSIST: Drug paraphernalia was recovered by juvenile probation and placed into evidence on Dec. 2.

A Juvenile Court Probation Officer contacted the Piqua Police Department about a juvenile on probation reportedly admitting to smoking marijuana with his father on Dec. 2. The investigation is pending.

THEFT: An Ohio license plate was reported stolen from a parked vehicle on Covington Avenue sometime between Dec. 1-2.

FAILURE TO COMPLY: There was a report of a vehicle driving northbound on County Road 25-A without a front tire on Dec. 2 at 4 p.m. An officer attempted to stop the vehicle, but the driver did not pull over and failed to comply, according to police reports. Officers followed the vehicle until it stopped on South Main Street near South Street. The driver was taken into custody, and she submitted a urine screen for an OVI test. Crystal D. Bock, 28, of Piqua, was charged with third-degree felony failure to comply/fleeing/eluding in connection with this incident. Bock reportedly spent the weekend in the Miami County Jail before being released on her own recognizance on Dec. 5.

CRIMINAL DAMAGE: There was report of a vehicle being damaged on South Main Street while the owner was inside at work on Dec. 2.

A mailbox was struck by a vehicle on West High Street overnight between Dec. 2-3.

TRAFFIC STOP: A traffic stop in the area of South College and Young streets on Dec. 2 at 11 p.m. resulted in a driver being arrested for OVI and possession of marijuana. Gregg B. Reaves, 59, of Piqua, was charged with first-degree misdemeanor OVI-under the influence and possession of marijuana in connection with this incident.

A driver was reportedly speeding and not maintaining their lane of travel on Chevy Lane on Dec. 3 at around 12:45 a.m. Michael S. Garland, 29, of Piqua, was charged with first-degree misdemeanor OVI-under the influence in connection with this incident.

DISORDERLY CONDUCT: There was a report of a male subject passed out on the sidewalk on Wood Street near One More on Dec. 3 at around 5 a.m. He was transported to a family member’s house. Christopher A. Wilkinson, 28, of Piqua, was cited for minor misdemeanor disorderly conduct in connection with this incident.
