PIQUA — A traffic accident is under investigation after a vehicle reportedly struck a parked car and managed to flip over Wednesday evening.
The incident took place on Young Street at approximately 6:15 p.m.
“It was a single-car accident,” Lieutenant Jerry Fogt of the Piqua Police Department said.
The incident was first called-in to dispatch as an injury-accident involving a pedestrian struck by a vehicle, but that turned out not to be the case. It appears that only the parked car was struck.
There were no serious injuries from the crash, and no one was transported by squad for treatment. It is unknown if there were any minor injuries as a result from this accident.
The driver of the flipped vehicle, Debra E. Seipel, 46, of Piqua, was taken into custody on a warrant unrelated to this incident. According to Miami County Municipal Court records, Seipel was charged with OVI and minor misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia in Tipp City in September.
Seipel is currently being held at the Miami County Jail.
