PIQUA — The following are highlights from the Piqua police reports. All information is provided by Piqua police reports.
ASSIST SQUAD: There was a report of a male subject taking acid and damaging property at a residence on South Street on Oct. 28 at 8:25 a.m. A squad transported the subject to the hospital.
A complainant reported that he was unable to wake his adult son on New Haven Road on Oct. 29 at around 8:15 p.m. The son was found to be intoxicated and asleep. He refused to go with the squad.
THEFT: A tablet was reported stolen from an unlocked vehicle on South Downing Street on Oct. 28 between 6 a.m. and noon.
A garage was broken into on West North Street and a fence was kicked in sometime between Oct. 25-28. A saw was reported stolen.
A vehicle was reported stolen on Garbry Road at the Bent Tree Apartments sometime between Oct. 20-30.
HIT SKIP ACCIDENT: There was a report of a hit skip traffic crash on Garbry Road on Oct. 29 at around 6:30 a.m. Christopher A. Fisher, 31, of Piqua, and Misty A. Fisher, 28, of Sidney, were charged with second-degree misdemeanor obstructing official business in connection with this incident.
CRIMINAL MISCHIEF: There was a report of a customer defacing a bathroom mirror with lipstick at KFC on East Ash Street on Oct. 29 at around 3 p.m. A suspect admitted to using the restroom but denied writing anything on the walls, according to police reports. She was trespassed from the business.
A man reportedly smashed a beer bottle on the front door of a residence on East Ash Street on Oct. 30 at 3:40 a.m. Austin C. Malone, 22, of Piqua, was charged with third-degree misdemeanor criminal mischief in connection with this incident.
CLOWN ISSUE: A complainant reported that a 13-year-old wearing a clown costume chased her children on Young Street on Oct. 29 at around 8 p.m. The clown was reportedly carrying a bat during the incident.
TELEPHONE HARASSMENT: A subject on Caldwell Street reported receiving a threatening phone call from an unknown man on Oct. 29 at 8:40 p.m.
A complainant reported that a family member was suicidal on Mound Street on Oct. 29 at 6:50 p.m. The complaint was unfounded and was reportedly made due to the caller being mad at a family member. Christopher A. Mumpower, 54, of Troy, was charged with first-degree misdemeanor making false alarms in connection with this incident.
DISTURBANCE: There was a disturbance complaint at Lucky’s Bar on North Main Street on Oct. 29 at 10:20 p.m. Two men were thrown out of the bar, and one was reportedly causing a problem. They were warned to stay away from the bar for the night.
There was a report of a man entering a residence on Covington Avenue and causing a problem on Oct. 30 at around 5 a.m. He was warned not to return to the residence for the rest of the morning.
DRUG OFFENSE: An employee reportedly overdosed at Tim Hortons on West Water Street on Oct. 29 at around 11:15 p.m. The male subject woke up when the squad arrived and was taken to the hospital. Criminal charges are pending results from the Miami Valley Crime Lab.
CRIMINAL DAMAGE: A complainant reported that someone had put glue in her door lock at a residence on Adams Street on Oct. 30 at around 1:10 a.m.
