Piqua Prayer Breakfast to be held
PIQUA — The annual Piqua Prayer Breakfast is quickly approaching. This year’s event will take place at the Church of the Brethren, located at 525 Boal Avenue, in Piqua at 8 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 5.
Each year the Planning Committee for the Piqua Prayer Breakfast endeavors to reach out to the churches of the city in an effort to make this event as inclusive of the religious community as possible. To this end, we are redoubling our effort to create a greater level of awareness of the event and have chosen the theme of Christian Unity to encourage more participation on the part of church groups in attending this activity. Our speaker will be Rev. Montinas Peterson of Greater Love Missionary Baptist Church.
To aid the planning committee in its effort, we are asking each congregation to survey its members and submit a count of the members who are intending to take part in this year’s Prayer Breakfast fellowship. The event is free and also open to the public but charitable donations will be accepted to help defray the cost of food and drinks. Church groups may also elect to prepare a breakfast food offering for the occasion and should contact planning members below in coordinating your food gifts to the Prayer Breakfast.
Please contact Larry Hamilton at 778-1035 or email@example.com or Pastor Larry Lutz of the Church of the Brethren at 272-7791 or firstname.lastname@example.org by Saturday, Oct. 29, with the number of persons from your church planning to attend the Prayer Breakfast or to inquire about additional information.
