PIQUA — The following are highlights from the Piqua police reports. All information is provided by Piqua police reports and Miami County Municipal Court records.
BURGLARY: An unlocked garage on South Street was broken into overnight between Oct. 6-7. A cross bow and power tools were reported stolen.
A shed on Second Street was broken into overnight between Oct. 6-7. Items were reported stolen.
A lock was reportedly taken off of a shed on Boal Avenue sometime during the evening on Oct. 7. Nothing was reported missing.
There was a report of a home possibly being broken into on North Main Street on Oct. 7 at 9:35 p.m. It was determined that the locked door was possibly damaged, but it did not appear like entry had been made into the home.
CRIMINAL DAMAGE: Playground equipment was reportedly damaged at Piqua Central Intermediate School sometime between Oct. 3-4.
Halloween decorations were reportedly damaged by juveniles on South Main Street on Oct. 7 at 4:40 p.m.
THEFT: A vehicle was entered on Ann Street overnight between Oct. 6-7. Items were reported stolen.
A GPS unit was reported stolen from a vehicle on Broadway Street overnight between Oct. 6-7
A theft from a vehicle and a theft of a bicycle reportedly occurred on Scott Street on Oct. 7 between midnight and 11:40 a.m.
FALSIFICATION: A complainant reported having several items stolen and pawned at a pawn shop on Oct. 7. It was found that the complainant made a false police report. The complainant was reportedly charged with falsification.
STREET OBSTRUCTION: A bucket of horse feces was in the roadway in the area of East Water and Spring streets on Oct. 7 at 12:15 p.m. It was moved to the side of the road, and the street department was advised.
DISTURBANCE: There was a report of a disturbance between neighbors that included people arguing and possibly throwing items at one another on Nicklin Avenue on Oct. 7 at 5:26 p.m. Everyone involved was warned for disorderly conduct.
CLOWN ISSUES: There was a report of a couple subjects dressed as clowns chasing kids in the area of Brook Street on Oct. 7 at around 9:30 p.m. Police checked the area, and no one was located.
MENACING: There was a report of a male subject making a threatening comment towards someone on Mound Street on Oct. at 10:30 p.m.
SUSPICIOUS: A shell casing was found on Nicklin Avenue on Oct. 8 at 10:40 a.m. It appeared to be an old .380 casing. Neighbors stated that they had not heard gunshots in the area within the last week.
CRIMINAL MISCHIEF: There was a report of political hate speech written on car windows in paint marker on Amherst Avenue on Oct. 8.
