Minster Bank awards scholarships

MIAMI VALLEY — Minster Bank recently awarded $13,000 in scholarships to local recipients.

Sarah Pond of Covington High School, Ross Covault of Fairlawn High School, Claire Kazmaier of Ft. Loramie High School, Allison Hall of Lehman High School, Makenzie Albers of Marion Local High School, Alex Eiting of Minster High School, Devon Heitkamp of New Bremen High School, Eric Prater of New Knoxville High School, Dylan Vonderhuevel of Sidney High School, Victoria Barlett of St. Marys Memorial High School, Carter Hench of Troy High School, Allyssa Donald of Troy Christian High School, and Jarrett of Wapakoneta High School each received a Minster Bank scholarship based upon their academics and pursuit of a business degree.

Sarah Pond plans to major in Accounting at Urbana University. She is the daughter of Matt and Jennifer Pond. While attending Covington High School, Pond was involved in volleyball, cheerleading and the Academic Team.

Allyssa Donald, daughter of George and Kimberly Donald, is a graduate of Troy Christian High School. She plans to major in business/marketing at the University of Cincinnati. Donald was a member of the soccer and basketball teams.

Troy grad Carter Hench, is the son of Jeremy and Heather Hench. He plans to attend the University of Kentucky. Hench was involved in soccer, swim team, National Honor Society, Business Club, and Teen Leadership Troy.
