PIQUA — Cathcart and Company, LLC, is taking their business to the next level by moving to their newest location in downtown Piqua.
The central location for the home improvement business — which covers a variety of projects, including painting, construction, metal roofing, remodeling, and so on — can now be found on Spring Street, taking over the former location of Dugan’s Pawn Shop next to George’s Dairy Bar.
Cathcart and Company is excited to be a visible business in the downtown as they continue to grow their business in the area.
“We’re proud to be members of the Piqua community, providing our services in Piqua and throughout the Miami Valley,” owner Ryan Cathcart said. “We believe ourselves to be Piqua’s premier home improvement and painting contractor.”
Cathcart explained that providing a superior service with quality materials at an affordable cost is their goal.
“We treat every project as if it was our own. We never sacrifice quality. We use proven systems and quality products to protect our customer’s investment,” Cathcart said. “We have found that our customers are only looking for a few simple things — a company that has a proven, verifiable track record of customer satisfaction offering products that solve all of their needs, and those two things combined with a fair and affordable price.”
According to Cathcart, those things can be found with their business.
The members of their team also come with experience.
“We come from a long line of home improvment companies,” Cathcart said. “Painting is definitely our backbone.”
Cathcart explained that he has been doing professional painting jobs since he was 15 years old. Now in his 30s, Cathcart has around 18 years of experience.
“No job’s too small for us,” Cathcart said.
Cathcart explained that they have been involved in restoration projects in addition to home improvement projects, including restoring the clothing store Ron and Nita’s in downtown Sidney.
“We do a lot of remodeling,” Cathcart said.
Cathcart and Company has also completed projects for the city, including refacing the deck at the Piqua Fire Department with a composite deck and doing plaster repair work and painting inside of the Fort Piqua Plaza.
“We’re definitely proud to be on the list of people that get the phone calls from the city when they’re looking for a contractor that they can trust and help save taxpayer dollars,” Cathcart said.
Cathcart noted as well that their religious faith has an impact on their business, and he expressed his gratitude to God.
“We’re a Christian-oriented business,” Cathcart said. “I have to thank God for every opportunity that we get.”
Cathcart has an Associate’s Degree in Business Administration from ITT Tech. Cathcart and Company is also registered with the Better Business Bureau as an accredited business with an A rating.
While Cathcart is originally from Sidney and his wife Maggie is from Fort Loramie, they have been living in Piqua for about 10 years. Cathcart and his wife are also raising their three children in Piqua — daughters Aubri, 13, and Allie, 10, and son Jaxon, 2.
