July 1

MENACING: A deputy responded to the 1300 block of Waco Street, Concord Township, in reference to a menacing complaint.

TRESPASSING: A deputy responded to a trespassing complaint at the Sunoco gas station in the Village of Pleasant Hill, Miami County, Ohio.

DRUG POSSESSION: Deputies initiated a traffic stop on the listed vehicle for a suspicious circumstance. Subsequently, the driver was arrested for driving without a license, possession of drug paraphernalia, and possession of cocaine. The passenger was arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of cocaine.

July 2

FLEEING AN ELUDING: A deputy tried to initiate a traffic stop on a tan Honda for a traffic violation. The deputy activated emergency lights and siren but the tan Honda did not stop and a pursuit ensued. The tires of the tan Honda were spiked on County Road 25A near the sub station by another deputy. The tan Honda then wrecked into a corn field off of Deweese Road and the driver fled on foot. Brandon Knoop, 27, of Troy, turned himself in authorities later.

July 3

CIVIL MATTER: A deputy responded to the 3100 block of S. Rangeline Road, Union Township, reference a disturbance at the residence. Sandra Elofskey is renting a residence at the address from Joel Wombold. Joel gave Sandra a verbal notice that she is being evicted, then a verbal argument started between the two about the property. I advised both parties that this landlord/tenant issue was a civil matter and Joel would have to file the correct paperwork through the courts to properly evict Sandra.

July 4

OVI: A deputy stopped the listed vehicle for a moving violation at Washington Avenue and Greene Street, Piqua. The deputy identified the driver as the defendant Michael A Darner. After further investigation, Mr. Darner was found to be under the influence of alcohol and was taken into custody for OVI.

BALL FIELDS DAMAGED: A deputy was dispatched to Bethel Bees Baseball Complex on State Route 40, Tipp City. on a criminal damage complaint. Dispatch advised that a vehicle was doing donuts at the ball fields. After further investigation, Ruben Mireles was arrested on a warrant out of Miami County.
