PIQUA – Volunteers are the backbone of any community and Piqua has a strong core of volunteers who are always ready to step up when needed.
A number of those volunteers pitched in over the weekend to assist in putting a fresh coat of paint on a home and garage in the Shawnee neighborhood.
The Housing Enhancement League of Piqua, H.E.L.P, manned their paint brushes, scrapers, and sprayers to HELP brighten up a home in the 300 block of First Street.
The project was funded through the Miami County Foundation and the Piqua Community Foundation.
The group would like to thank Brian Brothers Painting & Restoration, Home Depot, Civil Air Patrol Don Gentile Squadron 709, Piqua Christian Church, East of Chicago Pizza, Lee’s Famous Recipe, and the H.E.L.P. Committee for donating time, material, and manpower to complete the project.
H.E.L.P. is always seeking organizations and volunteers who would like to contribute to the ongoing efforts to improve our community. Anyone interesting in lending a HELPing hand is urged to contact firstname.lastname@example.org or call Nikki Reese at (937) 778-2062.
