PIQUA — Stephen and Klarinda (Kelch) King will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary on Aug. 12, 2017. They were married Aug. 12, 1967, at St. John Lutheran Church in Piqua. The Rev. Archibald Baldwin officiated.
Steve is the son of the late Will and Annabelle (Tilton) King.
Klarinda is the daughter of the late Raymond and Naomi (Stephan) Kelch.
The Kings have four adult children: Ryan and Amanda King; Cortney and Ben Reed; Kristin and Eric Gephart; Brooks and Briana King.
They have been blessed with 11 grandchildren: Layla, Lily, Aubrey, Preston, Adam, Lauren, Gwen, Bryce, Isabelle, Drew, and Faith.
Steve served in the U.S. Navy aboard the U.S.S. Manley during the Vietnam War. He was the owner of King Masonry in Piqua. He enjoys woodworking in retirement.
Klarinda enjoys quilting and photography.
The couple has traveled to a wide variety of national parks, such as Yellowstone, Glacier, Grand Canyon, Bryce, and Zion. They also have spent time in New England, Nova Scotia, and Myrtle Beach. Disney World is a favorite, taking each grandchild on their own special trip.
They love to attend school functions and sporting events that family members participate in.
The Kings will celebrate their anniversary with a family gathering on Aug. 12.
