PIQUA — As seen on the television show “America’s Got Talent,” Robert Channing, the “world’s greatest mentalist,” will be making an appearance at Edison Community College this month.
Dazzling audiences with his extrasensory perception, Channing’s performances in the past have included predicting what an audience participant has written on cards or what they will say. He exploits the bugs and loopholes that exist in the mind, as well as the power that it obtains.
“He usually does something new every year,” said Nate Cole, director of student life and athletics. “He will have audience participation … and make sure everyone will have a good time.”
Channing has been known for his fine art speed glitter paintings on “America’s Got Talent” from season 9. He has made appearances on NBC, ABC, CBS, QVC, and FOX. Channing has been a professional speaker and entertainer since he was 12 years old, calling his business Power Performers.
Channing has been performing at Edison for the past 3-4 years.
“We have always got great feedback from his performance,” said Cole. “It’s for the community … That’s what we try to do … give the community to come to the campus at no cost.”
The performance will take place at Edison at the Robinson Theater on Monday, Sept. 28 at 7 p.m. Those interested are encouraged to arrive early to reserve a seat.
