Speedway, 900 Scott Drive, Piqua — The container holding the metal stem thermometer and the fans in the walk-in cooler need to be cleaned.
From Miami County Public Health:
Dad’s Carry Out, 249 Union St., Troy — Critical violation: in the bottom section of the reach-in prep cooler, one package of deli ham was observed with a date marking of 6/26. Ensure all coolers are equipped with thermometers. Ensure the results from the Level Two training are sent to the Ohio Department of Health for the appropriate certificate. Also, ensure an individual with at least Level One training is on staff at all times. At the time of inspection, both hand washing sinks were stocked with paper towels, soap and hot water. Also, the three compartment sink quaternary ammonium sanitizing solution concentration was observed at 200 ppm.
Frisch’s Restaurant, 16 Weller Drive, Tipp City — Observed food in packaging that does not appear to protect it from contamination. Observed multiple dented cans in back food storage area. Repeat observation: observed improper use and/or maintenance of wiping cloths. Wiping cloths were not stored in a sanitized solution during inspection. Critical violation: TCS foods were not being held at the proper temperature. Observed tartar sauce and ranch dressing being stored at temperatures above 41 F, corrected during inspection. Critical violation: refrigerated, ready-to-eat, TCS foods held refrigerated for more than 24 hours were not properly date marked. Date marked needs to include the actual date that the food was prepared or include the throw away date. Critical, repeat violation: equipment food-contact surfaces or utensils are dirty. Observed dried food residual on top of inside of microwave in back food prep area by fryers. Repeat observation: non-food contact surfaces of equipment are dirty. Observed dried food residual on the handles of the microwaves and walk-in cooler door. The plumbing system was not properly maintained. Observed that the hot water tank in the utilities closet is leaking from the bottom. This needs to be fixed. Observed no towels or hand drying device at the hand washing sink, corrected during inspection. Observed dark residual on the caulking right above the three-compartment sink in the dish washing area.
JJJ Childcare, 840 Arthur Drive, Troy — Observed dented cans in the back storage area, corrected during inspection. Critical violation: observed food that was not properly protected from contamination by separation, packaging, and segregation. Eggs were on the middle shelf in reach-in cooler above RTE packaged foods, corrected during inspection.
