Investigation continues in bomb squad call-out


Deputy Chief Tom Steiner checks out the latest additions to the Piqua police fleet as the city took delivery of two new Ford SUV cruisers on December 23.


PIQUA – The device that led to the call-out of the Dayton Bomb Squad on Thursday to a residence in the 600 Block of College Street is believed to have been a possible movie prop.

The investigation has led to information that the device in question may have been created as a movie prop bomb”, said Piqua Police Chief Bruce Jamison.

Jamison said that the department is still following leads in the incident and the investigation is on-going.
