Lehman boys fall to Fairlawn

SIDNEY — Lehman came out with a lot of energy and stunned the Fairlawn Jets early. But the Jets regrouped and went on to win 78-58 over the Cavaliers in a non-league battle of county rivals.

Fairlawn goes to 14-7 with the win and hosts Miami East tonight. The Cavaliers drop to 4-15 and are at Bluffton tonight.

“They came out with a lot more energy and punched us in the mouth,” said Fairlawn coach Justin Tidwell. “We adjusted in the second quarter and turned up the pressure to speed the game up.”

Nathan Lessing had 34 for the Jets and Luke Hickman added 16.

Stephen Monnin had 15 and Ben Frantz 14 for the Cavaliers.

East gets

past Bradford

CASSTOWN — Miami East used a 20-6 advantage in the third quarter to defeat Bradford 59-48 in CCC action.

Damien Mackesy led Miami East with 23 points.

Braxton Donaldson scored 14 and Brandon Mack added 10.

Andy Branson scored 15 for Bradford and Drew Patty added 14.

Covington will host Anna tonight to close the regular season.

Josh York scored 13 points for Russia.

Dylan Cordonnier netted 11 and Jake Gariety added 10.

HOUSTON — The Houston boys basketball team lost to Fort Loramie 48-38 Friday in SCL action,

Domyneik Phipps leh Houston with 21 points and Zach Freytag added nine points.

VERSAILLES — The Versailles boys basketball team cruised to a 64-27 win over Minster Friday night in MAC action.

Justin Ahrens led Versailles with 15 points, while Keaton and Brett McEldowney both scored 11.
